I wouldn’t call it remarkable or disastrous. Much more down the middle. An average type of season for this program. I don’t know why I catch so much flack for calling a spade a spade. Everyone is always so one end of the spectrum or the other on here!

We're 7-1 against the top 15, and 4-0 against the current top 3. And I'm pretty sure we tied a school record for most wins against the top 15 in a season. Yeah, ok. Pretty mediocre season. Maybe it isn't us that have our expectations out of synch. Or maybe your opinion is just... agenda driven, maybe?
I will tell you whose season is over, Bellarmine. What happened to those poor guys. 3-22? Just lots of graduates or poached talent?
Standards? Most wins against top 5 and top 15 teams and that doesn't meet standards?

Okay, reality check: anyone thinking a team put together a couple months before season...and that includes all players and staff...would be even competitive was hoping.
Then throw in injuries against your only reliable 4 position player and your sixth man.
Then toss in the conference is stronger than any time in history.
The just throw in a couple more real bad injuries to the point guard slot.
And set the school record for wins against top 5, top 20 schools.
Education says you have to appreciate what this crew has managed to do.
Now, you're probably gonna get a chance to crow for the next 4 or 5 games with all the injuries...
But not recognizing this crew for their success is kinda.....troll stuff.
Enjoy the ride man. It ends soon enough. We are really playing with house money this year.

2-0 since you made your brilliant the sky is falling post. Keep telling us how not smart everyone else is. We still may lose a lot more due to the number of injuries to key players, but Pope and the team are performing way better than most of us thought they would. But some would rather bitch at the slightest setback. Have fun wallowing in your misery.

Took out Gonzaga and Tenn without multiple high impact players.
Lost some games in the toughest league in the nation without multiple high impact players.
Cal is doing worse with the team that would have been here.

You catch so much flack because your posts are mostly negative and your expectations seem to be unrealistic based on a bygone era.
You seem to expect us to run roughshod through a weak SEC like we did from 1940-something through 2017-ish when the league got serious about basketball. Save for a few spurts in the 80s, 90s and 2000s, SEC basketball often looked about like the ACC this year - one great team, a couple decent teams and half of the league sitting below .500.
You seem to expect a brand new coach who returned zero points/rebounds/assists from the previous year and had to piece together a team in 3 weeks to just magically be sitting at 24-0 because the jerseys say Kentucky on the front. Apparently injuries or schedule strength doesn’t matter. Setting the school record for top 15 wins in a season in a year where the SEC has been stronger than it ever has been doesn’t matter.
I’m guessing you’re probably a title or bust every year kind of fan, which means that our program sucks by that standard because we failed to win the championship in 114 of 122 seasons of basketball. Maybe it’s Final Four or bust in which we have failed that standard 105 times in 122 seasons.

We had just lost to Ark and blown out by Ole Miss, if you can't see where I was coming from then I don't know what to tell you.

Jumping to Division 1 is their issue. They weren't quite ready for that, and not the easiest place to recruit to. Pretty sure when they made the jump they didn't anticipate the whole Portal and NIL boondoggle.

He hates UK, not just Pope. He's been run out of here under different itterations of that same alias at least 5 times for suffocating negativity and an obvious anti-UK agenda. He's cleaned it up a tad now because he's tired of starting over, lol. He's a shell of a man.
Where you were coming from was an emotional spasm of panic and anger, sort of like a 13-year-old girl who failed to get Taylor Swift concert tickets. So you lashed out with a ludicrous and immature thread. That's hardly worthy of anyone's respect.
“Lashed out” my post is drastically different than that. This team is night and day different with Lamont available. Also explaining how we won’t be favored in most of our remaining games isn’t rocket science.
