Ohio State is 14-11…. Vanderbilt is ranked 48th on KenPom and Arkansas (41st on KenPom) is a Q2 loss on NCAA Net Rankings. All three are bad losses.

Stood the entire game. 1 of maybe 10 in our lower section. Great atmosphere for the most part. At one point was a 3 point game and many were sitting, definitely a problem down there but overall good.
I find it very funny you left out Ohio State's Kenpom ranking. Is it because they're ranked 28th and including it would weaken your argument? Ohio State might be a bad loss based on the margin, but they're 27th in the NET and 28th on Kenpom. But guess what? Sometimes great teams just lay an egg.
Losing at Vandy in conference play isn't a bad loss. The same thing happened to Tennessee and Memorial Gym has a long history of crazy upsets. Arkansas is only a bad loss if you remove all context from that game and ignore the fact that they're a bubble team.

For Ohio State, we came in ranked 11th on KenPom before Ohio State. Following the loss, we dropped in incredible 15 spots down to 26 total. Absent that loss. We would be near #10. So it is dragging us down 8 spots, or 3 seed lines. So yes it is a bad loss and I’m concealing nothing. The numbers are what they are.
Vanderbilt cost us 6 spots from 16th pregame in the metrics to 22nd afterward. So yes, another bad loss. Arkansas isn’t quite as bad, but losses at home are held against you and we dropped 3 spots from 19th to 22nd.
By contrast, good losses don’t drop you spots. See Clemson - lost and went up a spot.
But indisputably, Ohio State is an albatross around our necks that we won’t shake this year.
Kempom doesn’t take wins and losses into account at all. It’s purely an efficiency metric that looks at how many points you score and allow per 100 possessions. We could have squeaked out wins in all those games and our ranking would have fallen a good deal anyway.
Just a quick note, to lose something, don’t you have to have it first?

The only quad 2 loss we have is Arkansas. Vanderbilt was a quad 1 game.
UK has had one bad loss. It was a Quad 2.

Not so fast my friend. This team has not been completely healthy since the conference games began. Let’s get Robinson and Butler back up to par and Carr heals some before one declares the season over. Very proud of the way this team has overcome incredible injuries and beaten very good teams…

I just find that hilarious and sad at the same time, making losing to them even more enraging, but we will get them and get CCC in due time. I pray we get another shot this year in the SEC tournament but doubt they play well enough to make it that far.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you can’t enjoy the heck out of this season/team/coach after what Cal put us through the past 4-5 years—I don’t know what else to tell you. Pope is getting the absolute max out of this group. Haven’t been this proud of a UK team in many years.
If you are not enjoying this season, you are either not a Kentucky fan or the disastrous first season for Pope you were hopping for isn't occurring. I do not believe any other coach could have gotten as much as Pope has out of this team. It is bad enough not having any real star power, but it has been worsened by the number of injuries to key players. Yet, the team keeps winning and winning big!

We were lucky when Coach Pope amassed 10 wins, and beating TN twice.......no fluke, we have a good team.
The problem is sec conf is Up this year, way Up....I hope we can make the final game of our conf tourney.
The past years where UK was always a 1 or 2 seed in the sec conf tourney.......those were special years. We were beating more than half our conf foes those years. This year just seems like an outlier and especially tough for any one sec team.

Bad losses are low Q2 or worse.
OSU and Vandy were on the road or neutral and are both Q1 losses. Q1 losses for neutral are top 50 and road is top 75.
Arkansas is our only Q2 or worse loss.
