He's a huge upgrade to Terry. He'll recruit well and win a lot of games. They'll be in the tournament every year.
He'll have plenty of NIL resources.
All that being said: He was paying players when you couldn't. He had a huge advantage. He couldn't make a Final 4 even with that advantage.

Terry was terrible. Miller can coach and has a work ethic.

Good grief this conference is LOADED in coaches. Like, how on earth is anyone supposed to dominate?
UK HAS to get the NIL on track. I know there is legislation in Frankfort to allow KY schools to pay players directly. If that hasn't become law yet...IT NEEDS TO ASAP. Tax alcohol or even tickets, whatever. We just have to be creative in how we come up with the money to compete against the likes of Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, etc. Otherwise we could quickly find basketball in the same situation as football. And that is unacceptable.

I would not have wanted to play Xavier today. UC and Xavier fans/players labor under a Napolean complex here in the Cincy area. They would have played with their hair on fire much like tOSU did.

No one expected Xavier was his final destination. Not even Xavier.
They had a bunch of Seniors. Fremantle would be a no doubt take if he had eligibility remaining but he does not. Ryan Conwell would be a potential take, he led Xavier in scoring, shot well from 3 and has a year remaining (played on last years really good Indiana St. team). Dailyn Swain is the other rotation player with eligibility, a sophomore - really good player but I don’t think he is a fit in Pope’s system.
Only 3 years older than Pope and has a 71% lifetime winning percentage and almost 500 wins. Yes … another good coach in the SEC !! Tough, tough conference !!
