Didn't see it posted here, but in a recent scrimmage it was all over twitter that Collett hit a 465 foot bomb. He has crazy pop.
Well that’s no fun. Thought I saw someone tweet about how much of a bomb it was - like they saw it visually.I don't think that was in a scrimmage, but in the batting cages off of live pitching. Basically they have a tool that measures how far a ball might go if they were actually outside, and it said 465. It was mentioned on another thread on here. I believe two others hit home runs that day, Cam Hill and Jaren Shelby.

Tool sounds neat though.
Well, that is at least my understanding of it. I could certainly be wrong. I think this is the way it is because there is a video on Jan 25 on the UK baseball twitter page of Shelby hitting a long ball against live pitching in the batting cages. The Collett tweet was the same day as that and just 30 minutes or so before the Shelby tweet. So, I believe that is what actually happened, that Collett was in the cage against a live UK pitcher, and the technology predicted that it would have gone 465.
It's called TrackMan
Did Kessler not play? Is he injured?
Thanks. Seems pretty cool.
They set the measurements to AmeriTrade dimensions.
k
He did not play. He got hit in the hand in the first practice, so just need to let it rest for a little bit.
So, the 2 HR's hit in the scrimmage were both by Juco transfers..... interesting !Box Score Info- ***From GameChanger*** -accuracy unknown

How did the outfield look? Hill in center and then Shelby and Shinn manning the corners? I imagine Shelby in left and Shinny in right? Did they come off of that at all?
Looked good. Hill in CF, Shinn in left and Shelby in right.
Shinn and Hill were on black
Shelby on Blue but he also played some Black. Played Olsen and Johnson on the corners on blue, Orlando played CF.
Hill went up for a ball and hit the wall. Banged up a bit.
Also, the scrimmage was their rules too. They ended sometimes with not even 3 outs, bases were loaded and they called a changeover and then started it back next inning. Only 6 innings.
