True but Coen was said to recommend Woodward for the WR job when it came open. Just what I heard at the time.

It's a guess based on his history and comments. If this message board contained only posts about things we know, it would be a deserted place
Just go back to the threads about Gran being let go. He had a pretty big fan group on here. He was a pretty good guy from all accounts, but the ceiling was much lower than with Coen..
He was asked why he came to UK and he chuckled and said "money". He's coaches all over never spending long anywhere, but always moving upward and onward. Another poster mentioned he lives in an apartment in Lexington. Most of the social media of him and his wife are in la or the Northeast. He just isn't tethered here. That's ok because each side is really helping the other. it just is what it is.
If we get him more than one more year, it will be because of money and the fact he doesn't do any on the road recruiting. He has it about as good as anyone could ask

We are all familiar with message board conjecture, but it does not have to be lawyered as fact. Unless you personally know Coen or are Coen, you don’t know his motivations, loyalties, or ambitions.
Everything here is an opinion, with the exception of 1 or 2 posters.
This really isn't that hard. It's literally the entire reason this medium exists. If you're looking on here solely for facts, you'd best filter out everyone but rock cat
I believe that was the plan when both were hired. They probably wanted to see his work ethic first, before they pulled the trigger, so they put him in an analyst role until they were convinced he could handle the responsibility. Bouknight likely knew he was getting demoted before he was officially demoted.

Bouknight got demoted due to getting a DUI, Woodward was here as analyst at request of Coen, got promoted again as being Coen's guy, has done outstanding job as the eye in the sky booth coach as well as recruiting.
Right place, right time. Somebody else screwed up, gives another coach an opportunity. Not that complicated.
And really not sure where some of y'all get this impression Coen doesn't go on the road recruiting. Believe it or not Vince Marrow isn't in Louisville or Ohio every night of the week & all day Sat & Sun, week after week.

Because if he is, it's in secret without any reports on it. All his interaction with recruits is either virtual, on the phone, or when they come on a visit. He isn't out there beating the bushes like the other guys. Fine by me if that's what it takes to keep him as long as we can.
