Damn. @Ed323232 mentioned last night they saved like 7 million if they fired him after 10/1 or something. Guess it wasn’t worth it. Lol

Glad he saved his career and thrived in Lexington once he got out of there.
Frost is one of their own, and partly responsible for one of their national championships. They probably thought it was bad form to retain him a little longer just so they didn’t have to pay him. That’s the only thing I can figure, at least.
Because Scott Frost negatively recruited him by saying WR would only be blocking for the run game if he went to UK but would be Wide Receiver 1 if he came to Nebraska.

Idk what happened to Urban in Jacksonville, but if he’s done chasing coeds, the man can coach. If he goes to Nebraska and gets them back on top, the meltdown in Gainesville will be epic.

He is a massive cheater and done so while in Florida. Some of the shit he pulled in Florida would cause a decent athletic director a heart attack. Bailing players out of jail, having them fake injuries etc. I live in Florida and know several boosters
Pretty much. They have lost at least 4 games every year since 2004. Their last 3-loss season was 2003 under Frank Solich. Looking up the records, Solich seemed pretty good

They fired him because compared to Osborne it looked like crap. But they haven't even been able to reach the (above) level ever since.
Such mixed feelings about this. Happy for the players who must be miserable but I will miss Nebraska getting into shootouts with terrible teams and then losing on the last possession or two. It has been an amazing couple of years if you enjoy the misery of former powerhouses.

Rumor has it Frost had a bad altercation after the game. They might’ve been able to fire him with cause.
I agree, he is one of the few who could bring them back. He is an elite recruiter, but he was also in fertile recruiting grounds at UF and tOSU, Won't have that at Nebraska. As for the other issue he just likes 20 year Olds. That got him put out at UF, Not sure about Ohio State and that video helped get him out of Jacksonville.
Frost last title winner at Nebraska and has ensured Nebraska will not win another for years and years.
