I’d kill a man in front of his own mother for Scott Drew to be our coach tomorrow. I’m in the anyone but cal camp.

He made it farther than Cal…. Plus Drew is a good coach, he made the Baylor program into what it is today. Maybe he brings a certain recruit with him if also

Lloyd has a new contract extension with a nate oates type buyout from what I understand. So uk would have to pay 12-15 million to zona that’s not happening. Oates the same
I had to go look at the score of the Baylor game when this thread popped up and of course Baylor is down to Clemson. Of course another coach that isn’t worthy now because his team is losing it’s like clockwork from the Cal worshippers….

There's not a single Cal worshipper here. That's made up garbage. We just have standards for the next hire and Drew is on the bottom shelf. Unbelievable.
While I’m not sure we can get donors on board for a buy out of Cal, I do believe we could get donors on board to help with the buyout for a top flight coach that they were excited about.
Maybe in the beginning but he just did an interview a day or so ago and said there’s no way Scott Drew has the rock star personality it takes to coach at UK.
What is this even supposed to mean. Baylor was the best team all year in 2020-2021.
I don’t think Matt (and plenty of others) feel he’s the best guy out there, I think people feel that is who Mitch will go after.
If Scott Drew is the best we can do, it’s going to be rough sledding I believe his 15 minutes of fame is over.

I don’t like going after a coach with a title already. Complacency and the odds to win another especially at a diff school are hard to overcome.
Also don’t think MB would “steal” a coach from another SEC team either. Goes against his goody two shoes standing with the other ADs.
People should tune into his post-game show to see what a tool he is after a loss.
