The crowd before the game, out tailgating, catwalk, etc. seemed deflated. Just not near the energy that was there before the Florida game. Had me a little concerned that this would be a game where fans sat on their hands throughout the game. I was wrong. When the game kicked off, the crowd turned on, the fans that showed gave a strong effort and the energy was there again. At least in my section it was. This week was every bit as exciting as last for me and only slightly less cramped. (Had a couple of people around me missing)
The thing I'm proud of is that these past couple of games our fans have actually acted like SEC football fans are supposed to. Cheering EVERY down on defense like they should, starting chants, standing more and not complaining. Students are staying and getting into it more. Just two solid weeks of a great atmosphere.
I have to think going into the auburn game with a chance to go 5-1 and maybe crack the top 25, that stadium atmosphere should rival or surpass the Florida game. I just hope every ticket gets used despite the late night work week game. I'll be there.
