Say something nice about Kansas

Something nice about Kansas. I know you could not hear me but, I said it.

It was nice of them to come back on the court last year to receive the second half of their stomping.

Switch their letters and it represents the greatest college basketball program of forever...and the collection of England Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland

They survived the last round conference realignments and managed to stay in a power conference. For now.

great program
great tradition and venue
great series - loved it going back to the 80's when I was a kid
history of great player and great coaches

and like UK - they have a direct connection in their coaching pedigree to Dr James Nesmith - the man who invented the game

PS: Love their "royal #'s font" -- hope they wear those tomorrow

PSS: I would easily pull for KU over any of our other rivals…..

Hmmmm....this is a tough one.

How about "When you get out of Kansas you are in Colorado?"

:cool2:

Nice start to this thread. [cheers] More in line, the high plains of the western part of the state truly are spectacular. Desolate sure, but beautiful in their own way. Of course the eastern half of Colorado is very similar. Don't think it coincidence the elevation is around 4,000 ft at the Kansas border.

Buck Clayton, Charlie Parker, and Joe Walsh -- born in Kansas.
Fatty Arbuckle, wrongfully accused silent film comic -- born in Kansas
Louise Brooks, one of the most long-lasting film icons (think Matilda in Leon the Professional) -- born in Kansas
Buster Keaton, greatest silent comic -- born in Kansas
Oscar Micheaux -- greatest of early black film makers -- born in Kansas

Hello Kansas wheat field farmer you work a 40 hour week(thats a joke) for a living let me thank you for your time...and the bread for my hamburger.

It's illegal to hunt whales in Kansas.

Yes, it really is LAW there. I'd say it is complimentary of their very forward-thinking ways. As in, forward-thinking a couple of hundred thousand or millions of years, as Kansas may very well become a shallow sea, or coastline in the very distant future.

I did say VERY forward-thinking. Give me credit.
