Saw where UK has a nil beer brand

It will probably be better than macro light beers because it's craft light beer.
It will also have more calories, I think it's 4.6 abv.
Probably closer to Sam Adams light or the old Michelob light.
I had it at Banners friday. It tasted similar to yeungling to me. That 4.6 thing is also a difference maker.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville Athletics and Gravely Brewing Company are pleased to announce a partnership for the release of "Cardinale," the new Official Craft Beer of the Louisville Cardinals.

Cardinale is a crisp, light-bodied Blonde Ale (4.8% ABV) that's available now at Gravely Brewing's taproom, and will be available at numerous retail points of sale – including locally at Kroger, Liquor Barn and various restaurants – later this month. More information on locations for purchase will be released soon.

Cardinale will also be available at UofL's home athletic venues, including at the first home football game against Murray State on Sept. 7 at L&N Stadium.

"We are thrilled to share this partnership with Gravely Brewing and introduce Cardinale as our Official Craft Beer of the Louisville Cardinals," UofL Director of Athletics Josh Heird said. "Gravely knows Louisville, and they know Card Nation. Our fans are the most passionate in college sports. They have high standards and understand the value of a quality product – Gravely is no different. Cardinale is another point of pride for all of us as we toast the Cards and cheer them on this season."

The can art for Cardinale features the iconic "Heisman Bird" logo to kick off football season, while additional collectable can variations will be coming soon.

In addition to producing the official licensed craft beer, Gravely's partnership with LEARFIELD and Louisville Sports Properties will include in-venue promotion across UofL's sports programs, advertising and promotion on the UofL Sports Radio Network, digital advertising and social media promotions.

Gravely Brewing Company is a family owned and operated brewery and taproom that includes indoor/outdoor seating, skyline views and a music venue.

Gravely opened in 2017 and just celebrated its sixth anniversary. It's the most decorated brewery in Kentucky, including multiple medals at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup.

"UofL Athletics has always been a leader in creating unique and memorable fan experiences and we are ecstatic to partner with them to create Cardinale, a craft beer Cards fans will love. Ale's Up!" said Nathaniel Gravely, Owner/Founder of Gravely Brewing Company.
Color me wrong then. I saw a UofL beer in the fridge too but it wasn’t with the Gravely products so I assumed incorrectly.

If they end up putting "Blue Light" in cans, they better be real careful with the artwork. You don't want Anheuser-Busch coming down on you.

And as an FYI - the same brewery has a "Cardinale".
Yes but all the proceeds of that do not go to UL like the UK brew does.

I wonder if there could be several breweries involved and different types of UK beers?

Also would like to see a UK nil Bourbon produced that wasn’t a money grab. Reasonably priced. Heaven Hill makes those types and is Ky owned. Coach Stoops has an interest in a distillery.
Help UK and yourself out Mark!

I did have one. It was ok. It was very Miller Liteish. While I can drink Miller Lite, it isn't my first choice. I will probably have them every week for tailgating but will have my normal choice (Mich Ultra) as well.
I always had Labatts Blue for UK tailgating. They had a 24 oz UK blue can that just said Big Blue on it
