When I got home, I had to search for it online to see what the heck it was talking about. I got a nice laugh out of it when I took a closer look. I'm sure you will too.

I don't get how celebrating track and cross country national championships is somehow an embarrassment. Basketball and football aren't the only sports a school is permitted to celebrate or market winning a national championship...

Hilarious! I saw a Louisville fan yesterday wearing a shirt that said "You Got Carded." Equally as sad as that Kansas shirt. [laughing]

It is okay... but it looks like they were just used as a cover to, yet again, include the Helms Titles. That's the rub with most UK BB fans.

That is true.

What I dislike more than anything else is they have 4 titles on the top row and two on the bottom. Just put three on all the rows. Looks moronic being unbalanced like that.

Helms Titles aren't National Championships, that's what KU fans choose to ignore. It's a title saying a team was likely the best team that year, but this was back when teams played pretty much regionally and wouldn't have the opportunity to play other top teams. There wasn't a Helms tournament or any kind of tournament. These titles were based on lore more than anything else from what I can gather. It's very sad and a huge stretch to claim them as a National Championship.

You're not getting the point. This is just another attempt at creating the optics of more champiOnships for basketball, clearly.

Kansas has some of the greatest T&F athletes in the history of the sport.
(Jim Ryan, Al Orter, and Bill Neider.

So you're saying that there were other people pretending to know what they were talking about, when they really had no clue? It wasn't just you pretending?

That makes it much more understandable.

I got to admit that I get prediction wrong a lot...I had Brown, Zimmerman, Newman and Rabb going to elsewhere last year...Did you get those right too?

I can appreciate their other titles, except the helms. If UK did it we would have 11, plus the helms, plus, if we're doing this, the 20 the cheerleading squad has won.

One little thing wrong...

What's wrong with a team making 40-0 shirts sitting at 20-0 or 30-0? Yea, nothing.

You'd kill to have our standing and our seasons under Calipari. All your program has done since 09 is play pretend you're UK while being known as choke artist.

People don't call it rockChokejayhawk for nothing.

Good luck with this rational comment! However, I have found on this board that trying to be rational with the irrational is futile.

A large portion of the posters on Rafters are so myopic that anything other than BB does not register in their minds and therefore doesn't count for anything.

I'll probably get hammered for this post, but facts are facts. A good portion of Rafters posters attack any post that even remotely infringes on their superiority complex.

And, finally, I am not a troll. Have been a UK fan since well before most of the Rafters posters were born.

Another observation. It appears KU won two track championships the same year (1970). The writing is pretty small so I might be mistaken on this.

Yes. 1970 is showing Mens Indoor Track and Mens Outdoor Track.

Plus, if you're going to put ALL of your mens championships on a t-shirt to brag, 12 is not much to brag about, especially when you are including FAKE championships. USC has 84 mens team championships when you include all of the crap sports like indoor track and water polo.
