Darian Kinnard: Hearing the Ohio big man had an outstanding visit to Kentucky today. I don't have a timetable for a decision, but the vibes I'm getting lead me to believe Kentucky may well be in the driver's seat. Before today there was really no reason to believe that, but after today the Cats are clearly in great shape with the three-star tackle.

Chase Wolf: I've been swapping messages with the three-star Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier quarterback and he's happy with how he performed on Friday with Darin Hinshaw and Vince Marrow looking on. Kentucky still has not offered. However, apparently Hinshaw and Marrow told Wolf that they were going to go back and discuss things with Mark Stoops. Doesn't seem like they've made up their minds on an offer yet.

Kevin Doyle: Hinshaw plans to watch Doyle throw on Monday. That has been the plan and I don't believe that has changed. Right now Pitt is Doyle's favorite but if Kentucky were to make a hard play for him then I could see the Cats surging to the lead. There are a lot of schools involved with Doyle but my understanding is he's kind of waiting for that P5 program that falls in love with him and wants him to be the guy.

Jarren Williams: My understanding is Hinshaw and Marrow are probably going to go down to see him on Thursday, so after they've seen some others. But I still think he's Option 1A. I don't think Williams is in any rush. If I had to guess I would say he will probably camp at a couple of schools this summer, if not more. Speculation only, but I think the decommitment might have been a favor to Kentucky if he decided to attend camps. Not knowing how that will play out, maybe he thought it fair to open things up and let Kentucky know, for their own sakes, but I do think UK's still got a pretty good shot. Is the most likely scenario that he ends up with UK? Maybe, but I wouldn't put it at above 50-percent likelihood. I still can't point to one school and say, yeah, I think he's going to end up there.

Paul Tyson: The 2019 QB from Alabama, great grandson of Bear Bryant, is the early frontrunner to be Kentucky's preferred QB from that class. He's a big kid, pro-style, good arm, all the tools; just hasn't played varsity football much yet. Camp this summer will be interesting but more interesting will be the kind of junior season he has. Xavier Malone is one more 2019 QB to watch but he doesn't have an offer yet.

Interesting that Darin Hinshaw has started to follow Tulsa commit Jace Ruder (2018) and I had one person tell me that Fordham Prep (N.Y.) QB Matt Valecce would be interested in Kentucky (he's not a scrub, Boston College just offered him).
