I agree with you about the Billy Bones, 2Adulterers comparison, but the way he rips Pitino & UofL up one side & down the other, he's alright in my eyes. I don't care what name he uses.I'm almost embarrassed to associate Rick Pitino with UK. The man has become a shell of what he
I still don't buy he's legit. His posts are way too similar to Billy Bones who disappeared around here about the time this guy showed up. His post style is the same too.
In my opinion, he's not that man anymore; either as coach or a person.
And no, with all due respect, I have to disagree with you. He will not always be one of us - he never WAS one of us, by his own choice. He held himself apart, and never truly embraced the BBN. And his actions when he came back to the state only proved he thought he was bigger than the program, and better than the residents of this state.
I can respect that question, and the thought, actually.Honest question here.....Do you think John Calipari has embraced the BBN? Do you think he's "one of us"? Jmho but I think Joe B was the last one you could say that about.
Can't argue that at all.I know he definitely appreciates the BBN. Not so sure Lexington would be the place he retires to. I could be wrong.
Mods, this is RuppsRevenge new username. Thanks for finally banning him, but he's gonna keep coming back, unless you ban his IP address. We should take down and disown the banner Rick has won also according to some. Maybe we should claim seven titles.
The man who traded the penthouse for the outhouse will find some creative signs when he returns to Camelot.
I hope not. I'm still of the opinion that that man pulled Kentucky out of the darkest era it had ever been in. I'm old enough to remember where we were at that point, how we got there and just exactly what that man did to make Kentucky what it is today. I am unimaginably grateful for it, too.
While I disagree with most of his behaviors at Louisville, I'll never forget what he did at Kentucky. No matter what he has done there, he certainly doesn't deserve roasting at Rupp Arena of all places. I understand why you feel that way though. Just remember, Coach Pitino will ALWAYS be one of us.
This is a very interesting thread to me as a UL fan because I tried to imagine how it would feel to have a beloved coach come back and take over for a bitter rival. So I considered Denny Crum leaving for the pros and coming back to coach UK. I think it would hurt me in my heart. I would always respect him, but I could never get my mind around cheering for him. And it would be a source of perpetual pain because in the Louisville market I would hear about it all the time. I think I would be like most of you all and just deaden my emotions and move on. Sometimes thats all you can do with bad things in your life. Its about survival sometimes. But I certainly understand the hatred. I also dont imagine Pitino will retire in Louisville. Its a job, he is paid really well, and will spend his retirement in Miami or New York. He never was a Kentuckian.
I guess the best thing you can take from it is that the state of Kentucky is the best place for college basketball, attracts the best coaches, and hopefully always will be.
Literally no one has said that, moron. We should take down and disown the banner Rick has won also according to some. Maybe we should claim seven titles.
