Rupp Arena will host the 1st and 2nd rounds of the NCAAT 2021

No we can't and that's why I don't like it. The increases the likelihood we get sent to a region we don't want.

I liked the Tournament before the pod system. It meant you got to see the entire top or bottom half of a region.

In 1998, I went to the tournament games at Rupp. Saw Duke, OK State and Syracuse. But it wasn't just thrown around. It was 1 vs 16, 8 vs 9, 5 vs 12, 4 vs 13. The the winners of those games.

That's way better than BS geographical crap. I'd prefer to go back to this route too. It would limit our interaction with rival fan bases in the same venue when they're not even in the same region.

UK will still get the worst region, they just won't have proximity in the first 2 rounds. Nothing about this is good except people in Lexington who want to see the NCAA Tournament.

I wish they would get Freedom Hall or some other place up to tournament standards. It doesn't help us to host early rounds at Rupp or UofL to host at the Yum. Seems like Duke or UNC get to play in Greensboro every year.

Why aren't there games at Yum? Seems like a perfect reciprocity deal, UL gets to play in Rupp and we get to play in Yum (so each of us only have to travel an hour those years).

Rupp hosting first weekend games has zero to do with what Region we play in. Overall, I'm happy with the cities that were selected, especially potential Regional sites for UK.
