Run Game Woes

I loved how the run game came to life more in the second half and helped seal the win. However, moving forward the Cats must be better in that department for the entire 60 minutes. I think we could all agree that the OL is still a work in progress and took a huge step in the second half in the Swamp. Although much of the blame for the lack of running lanes can be pinned on the Big Blue Wall, I also noticed that our WR missed a lot of blocks on the perimeter which kept those wide screens and and outside zone plays from becoming big chunk plays on the ground. When that young unit becomes better in that department, this offense will take off. If they start making/holding those blocks, the perimeter screen game will make the defense stretch horizontally, which will also make the rushing attack more effective. Just my observation! GBB!
