Is he the guy Ernest T. Bass was always referring to on Andy Griffith? Old man Kelsey's woods, old man Kelsey's lake, etc.
Pat Kelsey is in his 9th season as head coach of the Winthrop Eagle basketball program. This is all i know.
Pat Kelsey played for Xavier. Tremendous basketball IQ. Very well thought of up and coming coach. I can definitely see him being in line to take a step up to a PF5 conference

They are really having trouble getting someone interested in the job. Just read the two leaders now are Kelsey of Charlston and Pitino of New Mexico.
He was Jeff Goodman’s pick a day or two after Kenny Payne was fired. Better choice than Dusty May if you ask me. They may have gotten lucky.
