Round 1 UK Basketball Draft

Welcome to the 2024 Kentucky Serpentine (1-10 & 10-1) Basketball Draft. This draft will be 10 rounds and every single player of UK history will be allowed to be drafted except for Anthony Davis.

The Playoffs will be H2H in March Madness format 1 game only. You will have 8 hours to make a pick or you will be skipped but you can pick when you return. Dead period is from 11 PM - 7 AM

Voters - the objective is to build a team you think would win in a 1 game format.

That was my strategy. I mean I love Mercer, regardless. But, (true) SF is the most shallow position in UK’s history, IMO. Pickings are slim unless you go 3 guards or a big front court.

Hagan's a top 5 all-time guy. I thought about drafting him with the third pick. It was going to be him, Wall, or one other guy I don't want to mention just in case someone else gets the idea to take him.

No argument from me, other than idk if I’d consider him a true SF. He was before my time, but, I’ve always thought he also played some C & PF, at UK. Statistically, very few are in the same conversation as Hagan. He was 6-4. So, it works in that regard. Either way, he’s in THE top tier of past UK greats.

Even if I agreed with you the voters don't. Some people see Anthony Davis or Michael Jordan and click on that team no matter how it's constructed. It's a way to eliminate the automatic votes that may or may not make sense.
