It absolutely should. May not matter for them for the first game against the WVU/Cincy winner but their second game would be Baylor. Hard to see them winning that game without them.Could make it a challenge for the Jailhawks. Dickinson and McCullars averaged 37 of 76 points for KU. The next frontcourt player off the bench averaged 7 minutes, 1 point and 1 rebound.
Smart move because they won’t win even with them but I doubt both get healthy in a week. I’m picking Kansas as an early upset.
WVU beat Kansas this year and Cincinnati hung with them til the final minutes losing by 5 in Lawrence. The Jayhawks may be 2 and out this post season giving Kentucky an opportunity to stretch the all time wins lead. Currently we have a 6 game lead. We could legitimately pick up 9 more wins putting us at 15 at season’s end.It absolutely should. Yeah, with a likely loss in the first round of the B12 tourney, they will drop another seed line, at least. As a 5-seed, they would be playing one of the better mid-major champs on the 12-seed line and those are always ripe for upsets. If Dickinson isn't completely healthy (and I don't see how he could be unless this is not really a serious injury at all), and if McCullar isn't fully healthy (and from all reports he hasn't been fully healthy in a couple weeks) then they're likely to lose at least in the first weekend.Kansas’s season is about done. They won’t do anything in the Big12 tourney and that will drop their seeding another notch. McCullar isn’t likely to get well enough to be a stud again by tourney time (if for no other reason than conditioning and just being out of the flow of things). Dickerson’s selfish and won’t put any effort in if he thinks he’s getting a big pay check next year too. Self has had a long run of not having bad luck at the wrong time; this year will amount to “the law of averages,” finally catching up to him.
