Even if Skal, Murray, Ulis, Briscoe, Lee and Poythress leave, the biggest determinant of whether next year's team is elite will be these guys being able to fill in gaps for a team that will be led by 5-6 Freshman. It's gravy if any of those 6 guys from above return.

i agree, it'll help us next year.

I hope Hawkins stay healthy. He seems to be very injury prone.

Willis and Humphries will not be role players but your point is valid . Willis will be the starter at SF IMO and Humphries at worst will split time at center with Bam or Bolden .

See next year's team like this

Starters
Fox
Briscoe
Monk
Willis
Bam

Bench
Hawkins
Matthews
Gabriel
Bolden
Tai
Mulder
SKJ

That is an insane line up with 6-8 potential 1st rounders .

I just have a feeling Ulis will be back -- not Briscoe. I know the arguments on the other side. But I think after weighing everything, he'll see that he needs to hit the League at a point where his strength helps overcome his short stature, and that'll require more time in college. THink about the NBA guards who have made it under 5'10''. Most of them were nearly as thick as running backs.

Also, I'm fraid Skal will be back. But maybe that can be turned into a positive. It'll cost UK Bolden, but maybe with a year of hitting the weights and legal supplements Skal can be what he was supposed to be this year.

I'd almost bet my fan hood that BOTH Ulis and Skal won't be back. Maybe one. Or the other.

When was the last time POY or POY runner up stayed another year in college?
