Rockets vs Clippers

So solid that DJ and Griffin are having their way in this series.
Have you even watched the series apparently not if you are bringing up Blake Griffin who has been eating Trevor Ariza, Josh Smith, and Terrence Jones up.

As for Jordan 10,6,16, and 26 and the 26 came when Howard was limited with foul trouble also helps when you go to the ft line over 30 times. So as I stated yes Dwight has been solid defensively.

Obviously you haven't been watching it. Fouled out in 18 minutes last night, finishing with more fouls than rebounds, averaging 4.3 fouls per game. Clippers have points in the paint of 50, 50, 50, and 40 in the four games. And Howard is supposed to be the paint and rim protector. Imagine how bad it would be if they would play straight up instead of playing like a bunch of cowards with this Hack-A-DJ strategy.

Well I clearly said he was in foul trouble last nighy. A good amount of Deandre pts are off alley oops. Penetration from Cp3 or blake which basically has Dwight in a lose lose situation. Dwight hasn't been great but he has been solid for which is a big mess out there on defense.

Again, and this time more emphatically, CLIPPERS did the same BS, so stop with the Rockets being cowards non sense.

I also want to point out that only Harden and Ariza are 100% healthy. Dwight missed much of the season, so did Jones.

This. The Clippers have employed the hack-a-whoever tactic for the first three games. And have done it more in this series than the Rockets have. Clippers are the better team, I think that is plain to see. Would the Rockets be better if they had Beverly and Montiejunas? Who knows, probably not.

This hacking bad freethrow shooters tactic is destroying the watchability of the games. It needs to change. I don't follow the NBA until the playoffs and only watch it then for the entertainment. I don't have a rooting interest in any specific team. Rivers started this crap in this series when Paul was out to help offset his absence and now the Rockets are desperate and doing the same thing. It's crap and unwatchable.

Also, can Redick get open without shoving off or an illegal screen? Those are how he gets half of his shots.

Personally, I think the Rockets absolutely are the better team with Bev.

Their transition defense has been, quite literally, non-existent. And they are clearly in "shutdown" mode right now, which is worse than just being an inferior team: they are doing exactly what a 10-year old would do who is losing. Pouting. Trying desperately to exaggerate contact, and by doing so, they would lose the chance for a rebound or put-back. They basically gave up the last two games. Their bad shooting was in their head.

The Rockets performance in game 3 and 4 were nothing short of deplorable. I was more pissed at them than I have been pissed at Kentucky in years.. probably ever.

However... they kept these games close for 3 quarters, more or less. Having Beverly check Paul/Rivers/JJ would have been huge. These games were only blowouts because the Rockets let them be blowouts. Not only does Beverly not play that way, he would have been such a huge factor.

I think it's pretty much impossible for any player, let alone a top 40ish kid to come play at UK under Cal, develop into a first team consensus AA and not work his tail off. People may not appreciate how carefree WCS is or that he doesn't watch the NBA nonstop or has other interest outside of basketball. But don't confuse that with him not busting his tail off to make himself a great player. That just isn't fair nor correct. If you think for a minute WCS didn't spend hours developing his game you just haven't been watching and you certainly have zero idea of what it's like to play at KY or for Cal. Kid may or may not be a great NBA player but it won't be from. Lack of effort in the gym.

We are not talking about the Spurs, and I nevver remember them using this coward ball to the extent the Rockets did tonight.[/QUOTE

Why is it coward ball? Shouldnt a PROFESSIONAL basketball player be able to hit a free throw....im gonna go out on a limb and say you dont understand the game very well..

Lol at the Rockets being better than the Clippers with Beverley. His absence is not the reason they're getting housed.

You know this rockets fan can't really believe the bs he/she just typed. I'm not sure why rocket fans are even surprised about this beatdown. When you depend on Harden and Howard, this sort of stuff happens. Howard has always been one of the most overhyped players in the nba and with Harden, if the refs aint calling ticky tack fouls and putting him on the line 15+ times a game, he's pretty much useless. When you can't play defense, you don't win in the playoffs.
