Man these basketball factory “schools” are so shady. Let’s just go back to old fashioned high schools, huh? Crazy suggestion?
This isn't the greatest news but wasn't the word that he just play ball for Donda and was doing his school work somewhere else (maybe an accredited online program)? Regardless, he'll want to transfer to play ball. A pipe dream but I bet Reed Shepard would welcome him to get any early start on that chemistry.
Are they closing the school just because Ye named the {-redacted-}?

Yeah - isn't that a rivals poster who swore up and down he wasn't going to be eligible and it had something to do with NC State backing off/his decommitment? That guys was spewing the same story about the mom/dad but it could also be a misinformed troll who is rationalizing why he didn't go to UNC, decommitted from State. I remember similar stories about John Wall and he was fine.
I believe you are right. I have no inside info on this situation at all. Just passing along information. Just from the outside looking in, it does seem like s sketchy situation. That being said, I am sure UK has done their due diligence in checking background.

Don't want to jinx us but Cal and staff has seemed to always have their $hit together when it comes to admissions. The only exception was Kanter but that was a professionalism issue and everyone knew about it prior to.
Shaedon Sharpe did a full year of high school in one month. As did Marvin Bagley when he reclassed at Duke and Jalen Duren did the same at Memphis. I am sure Dillingham will be fine.

I expect no eligibility issues for Rob. Wouldn’t be surprised if he just stays in LA at Southern California Academy or Sierra Canyon. I think he likes it out there as he’s frequently hanging out with celebrities. No inside info obviously, just my take on things. I know KT mentioned OTE and building connections there wouldn’t be bad either.
What could possibly go wrong there? 🤦
Really? Have you seen him play? It's like saying you wouldn't be heartbroken if DeAaron Fox or Brandon Knight slipped away -- not making a direct comparison but putting him on a similar level.
Send him for a few months where ever Marvin Bagley went to qualify for the rigorous academic standards of Duke in six weeks, get him to Lexington as early as possible and let the good times roll.

Hope he gets it all worked out because he is a very talented player, if not move on and reclass Ian Jackson.
Really hope things work out for him. Obviously, the adults in charge of his future aren’t making good decisions.

You mean Dillingham? I still want him here but if they did they should be fine at that’s regardless if/when DJ commits since we already have Reed on board . Hopefully reeves returns.
I have never seen him play in person but I have watched some of his games on TV and watch his clips on YouTube. Let's slow down on the Fox and Knight "comparisons". He is know where near as athletic or fast as De'Aaron was and doesn't shoot it like Knight. Personally, I think he is somewhat overrated. I'm not saying I don't want him at UK, because like you said, he is a talented player. Just saying I wouldn't be heartbroken if he went elsewhere and we let DJ take the reigns.

Pretty crappy to just shut the school down with the fall semester already close to being over, and then saying we plan to open up next fall. Doubt anyone gets a refund for this year. Kanye is such a clown.

Sure, opinions vary and I respect yours. I'll make one more observation: People are soured by the Sharpe fiasco, and I don't want to re-litigate that.
But Cal has been here 13 years and he has a pretty remarkable track record for navigating through perilous waters with the very top recruits in the country, and getting them suited up and on the court without entanglements, beginning with John Wall and Eric Bledsoe and going forward.
Kanye is the one who shut it down according to reports. They mention the founder in reports, but Kanye was the founder. It may be due to a funding issue from all his business losses, but those students allegedly paid $15,000 a year to attend.
On a side note: What kind of dumbass parent pays $15,000 to send kids to an unaccredited school?
Let him enroll in a Lexington Kentucky High School or join Reed Sheppard's High School team.
Absolutely. At the end of the day, Cal has proven he knows what he is doing in these situations. And I hope at the end of the day he stays here and is a major contributor and he is as good as you think he is.

Many private schools are unaccredited. Doesn’t make them bad schools. Do research before you make statements that make no sense.
