RJ Barrett more than likely reclassifying to 2018 (SIAP)

I know all the talk is about how talented a kid like Bagley is and how bad Kentucky needs to sign him, but here is another mega star that Kentucky needs as badly as any player. This kid has insane talent and will be a difference maker type of recruit from day 1. If this kid moves up a year, Cal needs to pretty much stalk the kid until he agrees to play at Kentucky.

Likely getting Quickley and if Cal can snag Barrett and Zion plus the returnees ( guessing P.J, Nick, SKJ, quade, Shai) that would be a hell of a squad

I would take that lineup in a heartbeat.

Starters

G Green
G Barrett
F Williamson
F Washington
F Richards

Key Reserves

G Quickley
G Baker
G Gilgeous-Alexander
F Killeya-Jones
F Wynyard

That's a talented and deep team. A solid regular 8-man rotation with Quickley, Gilgeous-Alexander, and Killeya-Jones likely getting starter minutes.

I don't see us getting that many players back, though. At least one of Washington or Richards likely leaves.

I also see Cal signing King.

I can guarantee you Cal signs more than 3 players.

Could explain the lack of interest in Langford. Cal would obviously prefer barret

Tough call for Cal and staff this year at the 2/3. I think Zion Williamson is more of an undersized college 4, but there are a lot of similarities between Barrett, Reddish, Langford, and King, and Williamson is 3ish enough that he could also effect some of those guys. And UK is already loaded at the 2/3 this year, with no real certainty on how many will be leaving.

Barrett is the guy likely to have the most impact on the college level, and I would even put him ahead of Bagley on those terms (because there's too much uncertainty about whether Bagley will ever play in college- I tend to think he won't- and if so, when), but he also might be the toughest to sign, and the most likely to wait until spring, given the late reclassification.

We're not loaded at the 2. The only true ones are Diallo and Baker.

We will sign at least four, IMHO.

1. Quickley- looking very likely.

2. King- if we ever offer, I think we get him.

3. Barrett or Reddish- we likely get one, Duke gets the other.

4. Bagley, Williamson, or Bol- I think we get one of these three as our 4 or 5.

Then we will get some guys back. Most likely we get Green, Baker, Gilgeous-Alexander, Killeya-Jones, and Wynyard back. Plus we get one of Gabriel, Washington, Vanderbilt, or Richards back.

It is a embarrassment that you are allowed to post here. The mods here should ashamed of themselves. Tar hole
Because censorship of free speech is awesome!

I don't like the guy, or what he posts, but he has the right to say/post what he wants so long as it doesn't encourage violence, which it doesn't.

I'm actually proud that our mods aren't facist don't ban people anywhere near as often as other boards. And usually they do it for personal attacks.

How many do you think a team needs? Baker is going to be back, SGA is likely back, and Green only goes if he's way better than projected. Quickley seems likely to sign with UK. Now you're talking about recruiting Barrett, Reddish, King, Langford (though UK might be backing off him), and throw Zion Williamson in the mix? Not even mentioning Vanderbilt and Washington, who are no sure things to be 1 and done (and honestly, Knox isn't either, though given his physical ability and skillset, I think he will be).

That's a crowded situation.

I'd say we take 2 of Barrett/Reddish/Williamson/King. I have my preferences, but honestly all 4 are really good with King being the lowest of the 4 but still VERY talented and athletic. 2 of those 4, Quickley, and someone like Shittu if we don't get Bol. I always chalked Shittu up to be a 6'8/6'9 PF but apparently he was measured closer to 6'11. If that's the case, snag him as you big and MAYBE one other guard but even without another guard, that's a monster class.

Agreed.

I was surprised by Shittu's measurements as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing Shittu if Bol goes elsewhere.

If we sign someone for every position:

PG Quickley
SG Reddish or Barrett
SF King
PF Bagley or Williamson
C Bol or Shittu

I think Cal would rather have Reddish AND Barrett at the 2 and 3, but I don't see even him pulling that off.

If we miss on Bol and Shittu, I can see Jordan Brown and Moses Brown getting offers.

Reid is probably the backup plan if we miss on Bagley and Williamson at the 4 (yes I see Williamson more as a undersized 4 in college).

Miss on Reddish or Barrett, might offer Keldon Johnson at the 2.

Miss on Quickley, who knows? Maybe Garland? I think Quickley is very, very likely.

With the players we should have returning, that should be a great roster.
