Right on cue: the recipe for a team turmoil is brewing at Arkansas.

Have watched two of their games thus far. Curiosity killed the cat, if you will.

1 - Boogie is a ball hog. Takes awful shots, too. But perhaps he feels the need to do it all.

2 - Wagner is the same player. He clearly peaked in high school and appears destined for the G League at this point.

3 - Knox is irrelevant. Forgot he was on the team while watching both games.

4 - Big Z would do GREAT at UK this year. It is what it is. Same goes for Thiero but both have obvious reasons to remain loyal to Cal.

Wagner is shooting over 40 percent from 3. I don’t care what the stats say.
Its funny but Cal always tried to play if off like Dj was a good shooter who was going through a rough stretch lmao. Like how long of a stretch does it need to be for us to just say maybe he shouldn't be shooting. Cal always tried to justify Wagner getting minutes. He's a dawg!!

Don’t underestimate Cal’s desire to win the game at Rupp, regardless of how Arkansas looks prior he will have them ready to play
You serious, Clark?? I'm sure Cal wants to win. I'm sure it'd be one of the happiest days of his life. Why? Because he'd rather blame the bennies for his current situation that take ANY accountability for it.

Anywho, I'm sure Cal will put a lot of effort into the game. So much so, that he might even watch a few min of film, and use a in-game timeout. It's appearing that he A) doesn't have the players to beat Kentucky, and B) it looks pretty obvious who will win the coaching battle. I have ZERO faith Cal will have that team ready or capable to win that game in Rupp.

Maybe, but his desire to win didn't help him against Oakland, St. Peter's, Wisconsin, Auburn, Kansas State, or any of the other numerous teams that punked him in the tournament with considerably less talent.

It didn't help him the last four Champion's Classics either.

I think Kentucky could conceivably massacre Arkansas in that game. Our players will be just as motivated to win for Pope as Cal's will be to win for him. Plus, our guys will have a chip on their shoulder. Calipari is the type of coach who would never have recruited any of our guys (except for Perry, who would have never been a rotation guy in Cal's diva-driven system).

I could see UK winning this game by 10+ points.

Our crowd will be out for blood. So will our players.

Arkansas is absolutely painful to watch this year. Their offense is an assault on the eyes. It’s like Calipari heard every criticism we’ve had for years and doubled down even harder on them. I have no earthly idea how their fans can possibly like what they’ve seen thus far. I know Muss had ran his course with them, but he was easier to watch.

Cal is out to prove that his way is a winning system while proving that all the BBN Bennies were wrong all along.

His ego will never allow him to grasp the fact that the game has left him and he is just another washed up has been.

I kind of feel bad for DJ honestly
If he had been properly developed he could be a solid player. He does have some talent
I’m not saying NBA level by any means..but could’ve been a solid college player

Take a look at Arkansas' remaining OOC clown show schedule:

They get Pacific, Little Rock, Maryland Eastern Shore, UTSA, Central Arkansas, and North Carolina A&T at home.

They also have Illinois and Michigan coming to town, and then they visit Miami on the road.

The committee will not smile favorably on that trash-heap of a schedule on selection Sunday. Hopefully Illinois waxes them on Thanksgiving Day, denying Calipari a quality win and assuring a weaker resume on selection Sunday.
Would it matter if cow and Arkansas had a good seed? Didn’t matter for UK.

Why reason would big z have to remain loyal to ccc?

We tried to tell them. In Nelly Davis' defense he's been dealing with a wrist injury and trying to play through it.

Wagner has a PER of 4.7.... has taken 1 free throw in 106 minutes. He's not a PG. He can't shoot so he's no PG. He's only 6ft 3 so he's no forward or center. At this point he's not much of an actual basketball player at all. He's still a young guy at only 19 and won't be 20 until May. So he's got time, but he's just really limited at this point. I mean he's not exceptionally quick and he's not a great athlete either.

He's still doing that. Watched a bit of his last post game presser and he was talking about how DJ would get it going. "You guys remember when you came to Lexington last year, DJ had 4 threes!"

Holy cow, those numbers are TERRIBLE. How in the world did DJ get so much worse so fast?

Thiero is doing awesome it seems. He’s leading the team in scoring at 17 a game. Big Z has hit 7/9 threes but is only averaging 3 rebounds in 20 minutes which is kinda embarrassing for a guy 7’3”.

Kentucky is going to obliterate this team.

I agree that things don’t look good at all. They will take some lumps just as his most recent UK teams did.

Is Cal really responsible for the Arky schedule? I thought those were pretty well decided long in advance.

Yeah I don't think he's responsible at all for this year's schedule.

Half his team is shooting like 20% right now from 3 and he’s saying the same thing .

Arkansas is this boards official adopted 2nd team (albeit one we hope loses every game) this season and until cal retires. We are gonna have game threads even when they play cupcakes apparently.
It’s to be expected when you have fans who put up with Cal for so long and now want to compare and contrast the programs now that he’s moved on. Just get used to it for this year at least, the vast majority of it is just expressing the relief we have that he’s Arkansas’ problem now.

Cal left us at the perfect time. This freshman class appears be his weakest in years. I guess Quaintance would be here instead of Aidoo…but I like our current team a lot more.

They will absolutely play hard that game . Half their team was supposed to be here this year.

I am sure we will not overlook Arky when they come to town but I can't help but remember when everyone was crowing about how awesome Alabama and their coach was and we went to their house and beat them and if I recall correctly I believe we were happy with Cal's coaching in that game. It will likely be the best game he coaches all year.

We beat Bama at Rupp. We beat Auburn and UT on the road. Cal also had two lottery picks, a 20 point a game scorer, and an offensive guru on the bench. Cal has none of that this year.
