Right on cue: the recipe for a team turmoil is brewing at Arkansas.

1. Former all-SEC transfer Jonas Aidoo is playing only 7 minutes per game. Yes, he's injured right now, but he's played in all three games.

2. Karter Knox, who expressed his sole reason for choosing Calipari being his desire for NBA expediency, is only playing 12 minutes per game while shooting 17% from the field and 14% from three point land.

3. DJ Wagner, whose efficiency numbers are trash-level, is shooting 33% from the field but still playing 36 minutes a game. He's averaging 2.7 assists per game while giving up the ball on turnovers 2.3 times per game.

4. Trevon Brazille is playing 17 minutes per game, and Billy Richmond is only playing 14 minutes per game.

5. Even Big Z is only playing 20 minutes per game.

6. Nelly Davis is a shell of the player he was last year. Right now he's averaging only ten points per game while shooting 16% from three point range.

7. Cal didn't schedule well. Arkansas plays virtually no one from this point until the SEC schedule begins. That won't help them on selection Sunday.
Their one saving grace is that their SEC schedule is semi-soft. They only play Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee a total of five times. Kentucky, on the other hand, has to play Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama a total of seven times.

Which Razorback implodes first? My guess is that Knox starts to piss and moan to his family around the holidays and leaves the program after one season. Brazille also seems like the type of guy who might regret staying with Arkansas due to only playing 17 minutes a game.

I wish for nothing but implosion and failure for their program and for Calipari.

Team turmoil or not, the fact is they simply aren’t very good. Another poorly constructed Cal roster where the pieces don’t complement each other and instead create an ugly logjam of non-shooters.
The pieces not fitting together only makes the imminent team meltdown that much more certain. It's one thing when you're playing behind great players on a great team. It's quite another when you're playing horribly behind other guys who are struggling on a weak team.

We assured the pig boys that DJ and Boogie would be playing all the minutes they wanted.
Their hearts will not be taken.
They scoffed, they guffawed, they snickered, doubtless we were butt hurt.
Oh well. 37 mins Zero points.
Hahahaha
It only gets more terrifying for Wagner when he looks in his rear-view mirror and sees Darius Acuff and Maleek Thomas on the way. Those dudes are coming to Arkansas expecting to start.

Wagner will feel that pressure. Even if Wagner returns for a junior year, he'll be starting again, playing 35 minutes/game again, in a system without elite shooting.

Cal's blind loyalty is one of his greatest weaknesses.

Take a look at Arkansas' remaining OOC clown show schedule:

They get Pacific, Little Rock, Maryland Eastern Shore, UTSA, Central Arkansas, and North Carolina A&T at home.

They also have Illinois and Michigan coming to town, and then they visit Miami on the road.

The committee will not smile favorably on that trash-heap of a schedule on selection Sunday. Hopefully Illinois waxes them on Thanksgiving Day, denying Calipari a quality win and assuring a weaker resume on selection Sunday.

I didn’t know Knox was that bad wow. I’m so glad we don’t have to hope for guys like that to “get it” eventually to be good. Brazile and Aidoo are hurt as far as those minutes go. Z is probably one of their best players honestly and he will be the ones whose minutes get cut later on. At first I thought you were gonna say Brazile made a move in the locker room on the new crop of guys lmfao. New love triangle.

Can’t wait for the Illinois and Miami games so they can have a chance to lose. Heck knowing Cal he may blow one of those cupcake games too.

Dick Vitale is not going to be happy with you .

Even if they just lose to Illinois, the committee will take notice that Arkansas loses to virtually anyone good that they play.

They could potentially get brutalized in the SEC unless they start making three point shots. They won't have many opportunities to marquee wins, so they need to beat Illinois on Thanksgiving Day. I'll be gleefully pulling against them while I enjoy my leftover mash potatoes and pumpkin pie.

You know that, I’m sure Cal will be all on a Turkey hangover during the game and blame that in the press conference. “We had a meal at my house before the game guys.” “These players have never played after a meal like that before, and I haven’t taught them that yet!

Davis shooting 15% from three combined with Wagner’s dogshit range is all the evidence needed to let you know that Arkansas should be an easy win.
I will be pretty upset if we don’t zone them into oblivion. At least I know this staff will try different defenses. They will be ready and the way they shoot if we are hot I could see a 20 point win.

Arkansas never has a strong ooc schedule. The way they look so far its a good thing they do not.

They will make or miss the ncaa tourney based on how they perform n sec play.

If you could bottle up all the energy that has been spent over the past year from some fans trying to convince the world that D.J. Wagner is actually a good basketball player, it'd rival the output from the Hoover Dam.

Sure, in a few years he'll make a solid backup guard for the Eastern Kazakhstan Mud Pies, but a good college basketball player (and certainly a good NBA player) he is not. He's a losing player. The more a guy like him plays, the worse your team is and the lower your floor gets.

The mighty Troy plays Oregon tonight. I’ll be interested to see that score since Arky fans were like they are good. They looked pretty terrible to my eyes. Could barely dribble and couldn’t shoot a lick.

My only interest is the University of Kentucky. I appreciate Calipari for what he accomplished at UK. He chose to leave and we now have an excellent x's and o's coach who is also getting some top notch recruits next year - guys that want to play at UK and within a system.

I understand the former coach talk - he was here for 15 years.

I am excited for the current team and staff who just beat a top 10 team on a neutral floor displaying a mental toughness and grit I haven't seen in many years. Kudos and I look forward to the season ahead!

Agree on Davis though he is injured and playing through a wrist injury but everything else is spot on. Aidoo only plays good against bad teams.

Arkansas is this boards official adopted 2nd team (albeit one we hope loses every game) this season and until cal retires. We are gonna have game threads even when they play cupcakes apparently.

It's almost like most of the guys that Cal recruited that now play in the NBA would've gotten there playing for any number of other coaches, because they were just that good and not because Cal has some magic "NBA" wand that he wields. Even the Nick Richards of the world got there because they worked their tails off and they wanted it badly. I'm not a Cal hater, but I definitely think his role in getting guys to the NBA has been waaayyyyyyy overstated. He has recuited NBA players, period!

You're exactly right. He has the reputation mainly because he was the first to embrace and utilize the one and done model and got a long head start on everyone else. Once players saw his super freshman leave that made others want to go where he coached. But when Coach K and others started with the one and dones it became obvious a talented player will get drafted no matter where he plays at or for what coach. I thank God we are away from depending on that now.
