Bozich is a Kenny Payne lover, he is just stirring the pot and trying to create buzz to save his friends job.
I like Richmond long-term too. Both Richmond and Knox have a lot of potential. But with Richmond you get multiple years (likely anyway), and thus a chance to develop a very nice college SF. Knox has stated he is definitely OAD (I think he actually said something like "10 months"). Easy choice for Richmond.Richmond may be better. They are so close in the rankings that it's basically a wash.
Adou should be the starting SF next year.
I think we lost interest in him, other than as a backup to some other player. Didn't I read that he can't shoot? It is awful strange that Knox hasn’t commited to us yet…
I think Theiro and Burks start at Forward. Up to yo who you call SF or PF. One has more length, the other more muscle/bulk, both with a little work this summer capable 3pt shooters.I like Richmond long-term too. Both Richmond and Knox have a lot of potential. As for Thiero, I think he should be looked at as the presumptive starting PF next season. In my opinion, if he's starting at SF, then UK likely failed miserably in recruiting the transfer portal.
A red sign. Scared to compete against others, one foot out the door. Not all make it totally obvious. Karter is a circus waiting to happen.Knox’s dad made it very clear they would not commit to UK until they saw who was coming in, staying, and leaving. Also added that they didn’t want any issues with playing time, etc. Added that Cal wants to get players to the NBA after one year and that’s Knox’s goal. Pretty much the reason we aren’t great anymore.
Hope he goes to UL. Cal can go also.
I can see Thiero and Burks starting as the forwards, or I can see them manning the PF spot. But 3 pt. shooting is the key, I believe. To be a contender I think you generally are going to need good to great 3pt. shooting from a minimum of 3 positions, and preferably 4 positions.I think Theiro and Burks start at Forward. Up to yo who you call SF or PF. One has more length, the other more muscle/bulk, both with a little work this summer capable 3pt shooters.
In the world of the portal, there’s no reason to grab a kid like this unless he’s in the mold of Wall or Davis ond type. Which doesn’t sound like he is.Knox’s dad made it very clear they would not commit to UK until they saw who was coming in, staying, and leaving. No, no, no. We don't even want to whisper that talk, my friend. I've thought he was flying under the mock draft radar for a while now. I believe Thiero has crazy upside, and since NBA teams can't resist "potential," I've been afraid some smart NBA team would start taking a closer look at Thiero.Thought I saw a headline saying Thiero may be a first round pick. Anybody else see that. Did not read it but was shocked seeing it. Maybe I just dreamed it?
Their best bet is Jerome tangFor real, what kind of replacement are they likely to get? They tout muss, oats, beard and the like but I don’t know if they can pull any of those guys. The truth is they are cash strapped. Those guys won’t come for 3 mil a year. Could they have a low level D1 HC or a high level assistant coach in their future?
Cal has said if he was Thiero he would camp out in the gym every night to get a consistent shot and he would be a very high draft pick. The way he has transformed his body, the energy he plays with and his jumping ability. A consistent shot I could see him making it in the pro's. Would hate to lose him for next season. No, no, no. Ah…, but just wait until next year. It’s being said that UK is very likely to get a couple of reclassification studs on top of the class they already have coming in. The ole Daffy gif is already warming up. With most of the best basketball players alive, how can UK lose? Just ship the trophy to UK, right?People wanted to keep Cal because the recruiting class he had coming in this season.
And we’re just a mid pack SEC team.
I always saw them as an either/or tandem.Richmond may be better. They are so close in the rankings that it's basically a wash.

Really depends on how much Adou can improve his jumper.I like Richmond long-term too. Both Richmond and Knox have a lot of potential. Yes, that's a different take, and there may be some validity to it. But how many major programs are willing to wait 2 years + before having much success? And truthfully, if they were at or around the .500 mark for these first 2 years, it might be worth having some more patience. But that first season they were 4-28 and they're only 8-19 this season with 3 or 4 more losses coming. Make that first season 10-22 and this one 18-14 and it's at least moving in the right direction, but that's just not the case. But heck, for my part, I'd tell them to give him 2 more years. I don't mind Louisville not being very good.Had a conversation with a buddy who is pretty close to the UL situation and a former division 2 player. He thinks it takes more than 2 years to become a head coach these days with all the responsibilities that an asst coach doesn’t have. Interesting take.
I know the things he was doing for Kevin Knox, and the things he has done for Kevin Knox. He wants you to be a pro. He wants you to be a one-and-done, and take care of your family
And maybe Kenny is the only one that's guaranteed starting spots for them next year?Who knows, maybe Karter Knox and the other 5 star want to be the man on that team?
he is a poor outside shooterI think we lost interest in him, other than as a backup to some other player. Didn't I read that he can't shoot?
really? wowCal went 9-16 here not that long ago. in his like 10th season here
True. But if he had repeated that the next season, he'd already be gone.Cal went 9-16 here not that long ago. in his like 10th season here
Sure. Binch of bull from ugly Rick.I wish i knew how to copy the video to here. Maybe somebody could do that ? Bozich is a Ville insider so I tend to believe him.
Just trying to make sure you guys keep things in perspective. 9-16 and St Peters are two very low points in our programs history. and he missed another tournament besides that one.really? wow
omgosh, I don't think anyone here realized that. Please be sure to post this in every non-Cal thread; so that all, are fully informed. Please and thank youJust trying to make sure you guys keep things in perspective. 9-16 and St Peters are two very low points in our programs history. and he missed another tournament besides that one.
