I know I am going out on a limb here, but I am going to say it. Rick Barnes is the OKest coach in America. As long as he is coaching at Tennessee there is a chance.

OKest coach to me screams Tom Izzo, but I'll allow it. I can see it, honestly.
I think it's about time to start wondering how much time Barnes has left on the sidelines. Wonder what that coaching search comes up with.
Tom Izzo has accomplished far far more than Rick Barnes ever has.
Lot of people saying this may be it. I could see Cal following not far behind.
I mean, fair. No 'ship since 2000, but fair. Just seems like he's always falling short for as many times as he's had a team reach the Final Four.
Like I point out to people: Dean Smith went to the Final Four 11 times and had a district edge in talent for years over his peers. He won 2 of them. He’s regarded as one of the best college basketball coaches of all time.
Izzo has been to 8 FF’s with a good shot at 9 this year. He’s won one.
Rick Barnes couldn’t even get out of the second round with a generational talent in Kevin Durant.
Rick Barnes is a really good basketball coach. He’s won everywhere he’s been and has a FF under his belt. Tennessee has been lucky to have him but Izzo is closer to Dean Smith than he is to Rick Barnes.
Barnes said something to the effect that he kept coaching because of Zeigler. I took that as he was considering retiring and probably will at the end of the year.
I found this trying to find the source and it mentions the interview I seen. The article says he shut down retirement talk. Anyway

This made me do a little research. Barnes is 6 months older than Izzo. They both started their coaching careers in 1977. Barnes has won 99 more games. The big difference is Final Fours, Izzo has 8 and Barnes has 1. Also, Izzo is in the HOF and Barnes isn’t yet. Barnes began this season tied in all-time wins with both Bill Self and an Eddie Sutton.
I believe tomorrow’s game will be Barnes last.
I was shocked how old he looked when I saw him at our first meeting. Seems like he aged 10 years between seasons.
