Report: Lakers currently plan on passing on Lonzo Ball

Call it whatever you want. Watched an Arizona game where he laid down and watched Fox punk him in the NCAA's. That's 2 in the handful of their games I watched. I'm sure there are a couple more.
Not to mention UCLA had to hide him in a zone for a big chunk of the year. Can't do that at the next level. He may have good court vision and an average shot but he is going to give up as many points as he contributes.

Embiid will be very lucky..very lucky to have any kind of career. I state this again. Big men with knee issues never seem to make it. I hope he does but knees...just get older.

I'll testify to that........

Could the Lakers trade down just a little to still get Ball? Is he worth a top 5 pick to anyone else?

It seems as if they are more likely to trade down if someone else wants Ball enough to give them a valuable asset in addition to a lottery pick.

It is presumed that he will be drafted by Philly at 3, if the Lakers don't take him at 2.

If somebody below wanted him badly enough, the Lakers might trade down, draft Fox or Jackson, and take the additional asset.

Unlikely that Lakers trade down and still get Ball.

Honestly if he goes anywhere but the Lakers I take this as a W. Even moreso if the Lakers take Fox lol

Not that I dislike Lonzo but his dad is just outta control. I hope he doesn't get what he really wants outta this (Lakers)

I just don't want Kentucky players being spread out. Randle is rising on the Lakers, so I'd like to see Fox go there. Philly no longer has Noel, so I don't care if they succeed.

Kentucky is going to have a lot of alumni who are good enough physically and skillfully to win an NBA title.. So it's better to see them consolidated if you ask me.

Ball vs Fox is tempting to debate, yet not fair to either. Its simply who is the best fit for a teams needs. Fox could be a prolific true point guard. Ball on the other hand is more of a combo type guard. Which does "your" team need!?

If you need more outside shooting from your point, I'd lean towards ball. But if you needs someone to truly run the offense and drive/dish...I'd take Fox. All dictated by the offensive structure of the team.

My biggest hesitation with Ball is the luggage he brings to the team...not good at the pro level.
