I mean those 6 great wins against the top 15 keep getting cancelled out when you lose to teams like Ohio State, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Georgia , and Arkansas. The rate it’s going we’re going to take even more stupid loses before the season is over.

This is modern basketball. Very few teams have the physical talent to dominate their opponents for consistent performance. Think Duke and Auburn might be the only two that do this year.

We won at UT because they couldn’t throw it in the ocean from a boat and we lost tonight because Arkansas couldn’t miss by their standards.

Obviously there are concerns but now the biggest concern is not letting this snowball. An emotional gut punch of epic proportions for the program tonight.

Exactly. UK got its ass kicked and humiliated in every way tonight but Pope was awful.
-Thiero is going to attack the rim
-Wagner is going to drive
-Z is going to shoot threes.

Those 3 were allowed to do what they do with very minimal adjustments. Those 3 had 52 points.

Williams was doing as well as he could down low eating Z’s lunch. Kept pulling him high which often led to getting any semblance of offense going with 12 seconds or so on the shot clock.

Bizarre combinations of lineups.

Zero clock for Noah.

Pope’s performance tonight with next to nothing regarding adjustments is troublesome.

They missed two 3s right at the end when it was already over too, otherwise they shot more like 57% from 3.

Arkansas has been an athletic team with guards + Thiero that can attack the paint all season, they just haven't been a good shooting team. Well we know how that goes with Calipari, every once in a while you shoot well and run away with a game, or win one you probably shouldn't. Of course they had that game against us tonight, go figure.

Agreed on the turnovers, at the beginning of the year we would have 5 in a game, now it seems like we have 5 by the first media timeout. Teams know the blueprint and turned up the pressure, and like you said our guys simply ARE NOT strong on the ball. We basically have to feed the post to pass the ball at the top of the key, the opposing guard right on our backs and we're throwing a bounce pass for our guy to go get outside the arc, pushing him another few feet away from the basket, then he has to fight pressure to get turned and start any dribble or surveying the court. It's hard to watch. If our guy doesn't come to the ball, or the timing is off or whatever, we give up another turnover runout.

I think this is the last season we'll see this level of weakness on the ball like this, if we can put some athletes on the floor that can't be jammed up it will help open up the offense a ton.
