“If they’re giving out a trophy, we want it” perfect description of how UK should be. Williams going on about nba all stars……who cares about the nba, we care about UK & want to be relevant again. If we’re going to be a blue blood then we should act like it every year.

Yes. Everyone who criticizes UK fan gets it wrong. We know we won't win the title every year BUT we expect to be in the running. Too many years here lately where we aren't even in the running.
You say things like this but people wanted Cal fired in '19 after losing in the Elite 8 in OT. When you want a coach fired who's made the Elite 8 twice in three years and was a shot away from winning both games you've got it wrong.

We were definitely in the running in 2022 - 1 game back, had we beaten Auburn we'd have won. But not in the running the other years, only 1 SEC tournament win, only 1 NCAA tournament win... it's bad.
Smashcat repeats the 2022 fiction frequently on here. Tyty got hurt at auburn with UK up like 9 or 10. Very likely we win that game if he doesn't get hurt.
I get tired of repeating the facts to him as he clearly isn't capable of retaining information from a season just 2 years ago.
And to think no end in sight for him as our coach and realistically what do we get this year? Maybe one win in the tourney.

I’m sure some people did. But to extract that from 5 years ago and act at this point as if there’s isn’t a clear shift in performance that isn’t up to snuff at schools like UK is totally unrelated. Last 5 seasons we’re being outperformed by multiple schools in the sec. I remember many on here and ksr etc poo pooing Nate oats as not going to be able to play at a big boy level when he got there but here we are with them in play for a 3rd sec in 5 seasons. Auburn has been at least as productive and Arkansas until they laid their huge egg this season but cal has had eggs too.
And we ran Tubby off and rightly so but Cal gets a lifetime contract and the program is spinning its wheels
No but both sides knew changes were needed. It was his way to start fresh. It feels the same now except there’s this monstrosity of a contract Cal isn’t just walking from even if he could get another job somewhere. Nobody would pay him near this much and he’s the kind that doesn’t seem like he would take a huge salary cut just to part amicably
