I hope it works. We need it to because he's coming in from finishing 5th in the Big 12 tied with Kansas with 8 losses in the conference. Zero tournament wins. Just have to see how the roster shakes out before you can judge it next year.

That 41% is in large part due to how high Reed shot from three (over 50%). Good thing he will be on the roster.

How many years did it take Hurley at UConn? And what was his resume when they hired him?

Agreed! It look him until year 5. But there are differences. Pope will have every resource he needs to succeed at UK from day 1. I think Hurley is more the exception than the rule. Plus, as much as UConn has won lately, I'd still say they're a more patient and forgiving fanbase than BBN. With the portal and NIL now, you really shouldn't need more than a few years to know if a guy is getting it done or not. If they improve a bit each year and are still on an upward trajectory, maybe you give them a little more time. But, UL only gave KP 2 years, do we think they got rid of him too early? I mean, I don't.
