At this point I'm not opposed to taking 18-20 kids and leaving some open spots for a quality off season pick up or a late qualifier. There are always summer transfers as well. Worse case scenario we take a full class next year vs taking a kid just to fill a class.

Months ago I was sure UK would take a full class. Now I'd bet you a dollar to a donut they won't take more than 18, if that many.

The staff needs to hit the Juco and transfer trail hard...for the sake of depth...especially on the defensive side of the ball...

you got to figure with natural attrition that a handful of guys aren't going to pan out...

Need to go find another big Z or two...another chris Matthews and steve Johnson...guys who can come in and compete at a high level right away...

I doubt if we only sign 18, but fine with me if we do. They won't make that big an impact this year anyway if we are just adding to fill up the class, and next year will be a very good year not only because there is a lot of good talent in the class but also in Kentucky, which we already have a stranglehold on. Improve like we should this year and that might be the best policy, we already have most of the critical pieces in this classes, most already enrolled, and Stoops would wisely redshirt most of them anyway.

If we do sign five more and they average a 5.6 we would pass up UL that currently has 25 commits, sorry, still a relevant goal. Our class average actually rose with his de-commitment, although I would have liked to have him. I also think we replaced him with a better commit in Allen, as well as replacing Dinson with a better commit, and Westry for Dinson also raised our class average for those worried about our image. Our class average is now a 5.647, well above most of the ones above us, and well above UL. Twice the four stars and twice the 5.7s as Joker's first class, which WAS a better class than almost all of Brooks classes, BUT four out of five of his 5.7s and 5.8s did NOTHING, I have no doubt Stoops is going to do better than that, excited to see what our new OC can do with better talent this year at probably every position, due to experience and redshirts.

Not over yet, getting Lewis would be a huge step up now, but all the negativity some spout sure doesn't help anything.
