Landon Young got bumped up 58 spots and is now in the Rivals 100 at 91. He moved from a 5.8 to 5.9 4 star OT.

Would expect to see Drake Jackson make his way into the Rivals 250 tomorrow and possibly Jordan Griffin. Jackson, Griffin, Danial, Looney, Cross, Watson, Hoak, Robinson and Bannerman are all players I could see getting some kind of ratings boost this week.

Griffin and Looney I think definitely get a bump. Robinson and Kash should but I just can't see us getting that much love by the evaluators. They'll probably drop half the class 20 spots to make up for young and drake being ranked that high.

That would really be funny if it weren't so true.

I think the lower rated players are the ones that are really rated too low.

What this guy said

If you like who we have then why should you care what they are rated?
Because it makes the program itself look better. Is that the biggest deal in the world, if our final recruiting ranking is No. 25 instead of No. 35? No, it's not. I'd sure rather have a top 25 finish in the AP poll, than a top 25 finish in the recruiting rankings. But it sure doesn't hurt In terms of positive publicity if national articles are mentioning a top level recruiting class.

Nah don't work that way, ask the geniuses who operate the UL site, there are so many participants on the UK site that we cause our recruits to be artificially and unjustly rated higher than what they really should be
[eyeroll]

It only makes it better for those who care about rankings. Win and nobody will give a rat's ass what classes are ranked where.

I'm not used to keeping up with this, but a 58 point jump from 149 to 91, jumping 39% of the guys in front of him, sounds like an incredible change.

I thought Drake was all ready in top 100? I thought he is regarded as #2 center in most services and thought another service had him #1 center? Hell I cant keep up with the football recruit rankings. It seems its all over the place.

Exactly. And I hope some of our other commits get the ratings they deserve, it certainly hurts their rating by committing early, not just because it's UK but because not many schools want to finish behind UK for a commit that seems to be fully committed. Probably the biggest factor is it hurts their offer sheet, which does factor into their ratings.

Fifty million French men can't be wrong.

The more people in the know confirming a recruit should be good, the better I feel. Like my best friend AND Rotten Tomatoes saying a new movie is worth watching.

I already suffered through Joker trying to prove the services wrong. Stoops proving them right is becoming more fun.

Disappointed to see Drake Jackson not included in the new Rivals 250. I know Centers usually don't get a lot of love from the recruiting sites but hes ranked as the #2 center in the country and tore it up at a number of camps including the Rivals Camp. I thought for sure he would be in the 200-250 range.

Same as it ever was. Drake dropping out is just affirms my opinion on the "rankers" of Rivals.com.
