Real reason we lost, same as 7 of the 8 other losses

The SEC has turned basketball into indoor football. Tubby would have loved coaching this style. Cal simply doesn’t bring in that type of players.

The (hopeful) relief is that the NCAA-T is not played like this. The biggest concern is that we get some ref that doesn’t like Cal or UK (there are a lot of them, either not liking him or how BBN treated the cheater Higgins) and get a blatantly 2-handed called game. In a fairly called game, where they aren’t letting teams mug each other, I still like our chances vs ANY Team!

Not “my Cal”. I’m not a Cal supporter.
But I do support the team.
The point of this post was to address the real reason we lost, not some superficial reason like we didn’t start the right guys; and to point out what type of NCAA-T teams/games may give us trouble.
Ok Kenny

1 SEC win and 1 NCAA win in 5 years. Cal made apprx 40 mil in 5 years. He needs to go.
Stealing $$ at this point.

There went the momentum heading into next week.

No one can complain about our seeding going forward.

10 loss Cal out here changing lives preparing everyone to be their brothers keeper before draft night. The 30 for 30 on his fall from glory amongst the entire UK fan base should be an interesting watch.
The 9 million dollar a year man strikes again! Laughing all the way to the Bank!

I keep wondering why Cal is afraid to recruit strong dudes. Does he just have a creepy "thing" for the skinny ones like Skal and Sarr and Bradshaw (as my friends and I joke when we're watching games) or is there some other inexplicable factor? We NEVER have the strength to battle inside. WTF?
I guess the stronger more physical guys don’t have enough stars by their name. Really, we need juniors and seniors who have matured and have gotten stronger to really have the success that’s expected. Of course, that’s almost an impossibility with Cal.

You play a bubble team, you better ignore their record for the season and be ready for war. I’ll agree with anyone that says the refs sucked, but it was obvious from start to finish which team wanted this win the most and they got it.
The teams had the attitude of their coaches. To one, "This tourney does not matter", and to the other it mattered a lot. The play of each team on the court was reflective of that.

Strength and maturity are factors but the experience is the difference maker. They drive and they get free throws, we drive and get what we get. They drive and seek contact, we drive and avoid contact, its experience. They know how to bump, shove, grab and all the little tricks to gain an advantage.

It’s not the experience, it’s the coaching. A&M has been coached to be physical. Our guys haven’t. Look at last year’s team, they were a bunch of Seniors and they were just as bad.
