Had em beat last year if the refs had a sack
Call the delay and we win the game
When we beat them this year McElwain will feel the pain
Then it's time for Mizzou and last years game was pure hell
But it's bout time we get us a tiger by the tail
So I have had to much too drink and so tonight will have no more
Be plenty time for that when the CATS win the first Four

Its my favorite sport and Im always excited. Even though I coached basketball and never coached football (son only played hoops always coached his AAU teams), football was always my true love. I might be a tad more excited this year than in awhile because I feel so many things are going our way. I am totally content with just getting to a bowl this year. I am not setting myself up for anything more. If it happens to be a 7-8 win or better year thats just the icing on the cake and means were at least a year ahead of schedule to me.

I will say I will miss the gameday experience again (in person) but this will make the second year that I dont attend a game of UK,UL WKU or EKU. If I attend a game at PJCS its sitting ina box where I can watch other games as well on TV but just the hassle of getting through the traffic, to the box etc has turned this old man off. In years past I would make games at all of the state schools but as I age its hard to beat a Lazy Boy, affordable food, clean bathroom twenty feet away and all in a controlled climate. I can see why stadiums are shrinking. I suspect its just a matter of time before they figure out how to bring smellavision back so you can smell the Bourbon at LSU, the fresh droppings from Bevo and the rubbery smell of a hot artificial turf lol.

IMO folks should enjoy this season for what it is. 6 wins is the goal. If we get more great but if not were still on schedule. If we beat UF UL or UT its just more icing. Just get to 6. The only way this year is not enjoyable is if the wheels somehow fall off and we fall a game short again. Frankly I dont think that is going to happen so thats why I say enjoy the ride. I think were gonna play an extra game this year and that is the end game. Many folks are setting themselves up for disappointment (expecting 8 wins or more) when in reality they may miss a very enjoyable 6-7 win year.
