Ready for Carr to go

Agreed. It makes me wonder what any recruit might think after reading the negative posts that some our “fans” post about the players. Maybe after reading all of the negativity they might think twice about coming to UK.
I'm almost positive there's a story somewhere about Thiero entering the transfer portal because he didn't like playing here in large part due to the fanbase. Once Cal left he rejoined him at Arkansas.

Weird .. he played perfectly fine against Troy and Illinois 🤔 maybe he’s just not that physical of a player?
Were either of those teams nearly as physical as pretty much the lot of the SEC?

I think this forum should shut down for 24 hours after a loss to allow people to sober up and get their frustrations out before they come here and shit post about players.

To go over players is silly… they are who they are….the game was lost by Pope and coaching staff.

Players gave everything they had even played through injuries.

They probably overlook those ones due to the 95% of fan interactions that treat the players like demigods?

Your questions is probably one the most myopic sports message board question ever posed (it happens on every sports message board if you make the rounds). Every fan base has looney tunes. You get that right?

Carr busted his ass for the team. Damned if I let drunk, pissy fans talk smack about these boys. They owe you less than nothing. Anyone who badmouths them is a ut/ul troll or a piss poor excuse for a fan. Gtfo with that and crawl under the muck-covered stone you call a home.

Disgraceful behavior from some "fans." I've seen less horse shit in Versailles farms.

Difference between calling out and flat out

Huh? I was just saying he didn’t look hurt against the first two teams? That Tennessee was to physical for him lol..

Here’s what I will struggle to understand about fans, and even our coaches and their decisions, when something like this happens. Carr wasn’t good last night and obviously the fans and staff recognized that. The fans by their bitching and the staff by the 20 mins he played. The three guys they played (in one form or another) to try to cover Carrs minutes played 36 mins and contributed 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal, and a couple fouls. In 36 damned mins. Trent Noah played 12 MINUTES and registered ONE FOUL. That’s it. No shots, rebounds assists…nothing. Like he was never on the court.

Carr played poorly. My question is always this. Who else are you going to play? He played 20 mins last night. I don’t think the outcome would’ve been any different, but I’d have sure like to have seen 30-34 mins from him as well. We’ve got 35 games of evidence that those other three can’t produce outside of a short spurt of lightning in a bottle.

Good post.

Carr gave his all, and in some games this year he was quite good...and in ALL games he brought a great attitude for his brothers.

We just didn't have enough depth/health/luck.

I have other complaints about the season but I won't bitch about injured guys like Butler and Carr who did their best to get back on the court and fight for the jersey.

So what do we do when we contrast your vague story with no sources to the hundreds of guys who came here (including what Carr, Brea, and Butler said about our program last night) who absolutely loved playing for BBN?

The narrative that our fans are toxic has been dispelled time and again by the players themselves. It seems that it's mostly only other fans who want to moralize and lecture the rest of us by using the fallacy of "toxic fans" in order to attempt to control narratives.

It's a silly game. I'm surprised you're playing it.

The issue is that @OmahaCats has been a crappy contrarian poster for years, and even given indications that he cheers for other programs.

UK has a lot of Class fans but the ones that trash players were not breast feed because they are always looking for attention. They were from other places and they were feed vinigar in the bottle.

Well, these aren't "kids" in the way college basketball used to be. They are paid now, no different than an NBA veteran at this point. That was the other side of the coin. You want money? Fine, but now there will be expectations.

I'm sorry but everyone outside of Butler and maybe Chandler needed to be called out for last nights woeful performance. If they don't like it, they can turn their pay checks in. It's part of the game now.

I'm generally pro-player in sports.. I don't even mind bad performances, but you have to show up and give it your all. They did not, and that needs to be called out.

Edit: I'm seeing people mention his back spasms, but the last we even heard of that was like a month ago. I see no reason to believe he was injured last night, unless I missed something. But this feels like a cop out. Andrew Carr didn't play well because he's a player that for whatever reason, isn't always locked in this year. And in fairness to him, he was probably asked too much of for his talent level. But we've seen this all year from him and guys like Amari, BG, even Oweh and Jrob at times. No excuses. No "oh well he's a nice kid" type of response.. at least not from me. Sorry if that upsets people.

Losing Robinson hurt this team mentally. Making the Sweet 16 with a beat up team all year makes me proud of what they accomplished.

Losing to Tennessee sucks because I can't stand them. I knew when Doug Shows was the official we'd lose. They started out very slow and just couldn't hit. They shut down Brea and he was our best shooter, which showed the entired game.

I'm proud of what they accomplished even though it sucks.

People just want to hand out excuses with participation trophies nowadays. I don't know why some can't get that every fan base has them. There might be some toxic fans lurking in the shadows, but Kentucky also has the most loving and loyal fan base in all of sports.
