IQ’s shot is as pretty as ever.
He is a restricted free agent after this season. So the Raptors will be able to match any offers. All the same, it could be a good landing spot for Quickley.I don’t think he will be there long. That was a very dumb move by the Knicks. I think they wanted to move Barrett and Quickley was the sugar to make it happen.
Yep. Was the best, or one of, FT shooting teams we ever had overall. IIRC, they shot at like a 79% clip as a team. Blows the season was cancelled.I'll always root a little extra for IQ. Seemed like a good kid here and always hated how his career got cut. That covid team was fun to watch
One of my highlights of a miserable calendar year. As he walked the ball over half court each possession down the stretch of a close game in the fourth quarter, everyone in TD Garden, and the bar I was watching in, knew what IQ wanted to do and more or less, and how he would go about doing it against Boston’s vaunted half court defense. In classic Quickley fashion, knowing this, and stopping it, were two very different things. He got to his spots, over and over and over again, and demoralized and dissected the best team in the East.
I felt that group was headed at least to the final 4.Really felt cheated to see the Quickly/Maxey team not get a shot at the title.
That being said, I'm glad to see both really starting to blossom in the NBA. Couldn't happen to two nicer young men.
An extension would likely have been easier to do so I highly doubt it.Knicks might try to get him back as a free agent?
