Has Kentucky ever been ranked #1 in the polls from wire to wire in regular season? Seems like the Runts & the 54 team may have but this old Cat fans memory isn't what it used to be.

Not 54. We were ranked number 2 part of that season.

UNC started the 1977-78 season at #1. UK took over after week #2. After losing to 'Bama and LSU, UK lost the #1 ranking to Arkansas and Marquette in weeks 13 and 14. They reclaimed the number one ranking for good in week #15.

Thanks guys, these Cats have accomplished quite a lot. They could become historic if they continue.

Don't know Seattle, they could get him. Sure hate to see Reggie Wayne go, the guy has been a mainstay for the Colts
