Can he get NIL money ? He can't play but he practices with the team, travels with the team, lives with the team etc.
You read how some players share money from NIL deals with teammates, can they share with him ?

Ive read somehwere it was explained he is not eligible for any NIL even after being cleared due to complications with visa requirements
Good point. That was the situation with Oscar.

I think in the end they found some kind of work around. Maybe there's a similar one for Z.

Yeah they went to the Bahamas and he did his "work" there. Not really an option this time, although maybe that's why he went home for a few days.

Think it depends on his visa status, similar to Oscar. So, presumably he couldn't profit from NLI if it's a student visa. It's not the NCAA preventing that.

I'm wondering if his old team is not cooperating with the NCAA on his previous status.
I mean they have no reason to be forthcoming with the NCAA. I think I read they were not happy about him leaving and his contract status with them.
I'm not saying the NCAA is clean on this situation but it makes sense to me that they may not provide details of his deal with them or cooperate.
I doubt the NCAA can force them to do anything.

IDK but something has this situation all mucked up.

If that's the case, then I see both sides. They have their interests to protect AND it would be VERY UNFAIR to Z to be punished because any party in the investigation isn't cooperating. Would him just saying "okay, here's the deal, this is EXACTLY what I made and these were the terms" and providing receipts/signed contract be enough to effectively remove his former team from the equation?

So silly.

NCAA: "We don't think Big Z is eligible, at this time, to be a student-athlete within our organization."
Kentucky: "Ok, so then you have no say over whether he gets a business deal then.."
NCAA:

My Z question … is he a better player than Bradshaw and Onyenso ??? How does he compare to them ???

Being able to earn NIL money for both he and Oscar had nothing to do with the NCAA. It’s got to do with restrictions pertaining to their student visas.
