Purdue Going Down

And a Marquette player gets a triple double, erasinig the D. Wade triple double recency against Kentucky.

Great night to be a Cat!

This. I've never claimed they were a "bad" team. But they are almost ALWAYS overrated. Like everything else in the B1G.
I'm just glad we're no longer the Purdue of the SEC, it seemed like we were always pre season top 5 and quickly dropped like a stone. I'm stoked we started out low and earned our top 10 ranking.
I feel like Pope will keep us in the top 5-10 each year, which is how it should be.

I'm gonna disagree slightly there. Kentucky should never be below T15. Staying in the T10 is hard to do these days with all the parity.

You're gonna have a bad year here and there. I'm sure Pope will too. The key is not to string together a bunch of them.

Even then. Their tourney walk was pretty easy minus Tennessee (and they barely won that game). They then got demolished by UCONN. I'm sure several people dropped money on Edey and Co to win that title game.
Maybe so but it’s hard to talk crap to a team that was close to number 1 all year and was runner up. No matter what you think Painter is a heck of a coach who does it his own way without transfers, pretty impressive. They have been good more times than not under him.
