I don't HATE them...I just don't think they're very good, like a lot of people at eSPN...which is why I don't bother watching that network unless UK or the StL Cardinals are on.

Wilbon is hot and cold, but I've heard Kornheiser say he likes Calipari at least a half dozen times over the last few years and they've had him on there various times and it always goes well.

They hate wilbon for calling ky fans racist because they ran tubby out. Maybe he has just sucked everywhere he has gone as a coach. Still waiting on apology.

The biggest knock on Monk is that he plays small on the defensive end and has a small wingspan. Rip Hamilton had a similar style of play, but was also a defensive liability in the league. Monk has that same offensive potential. Any team needing a scorer that can hide him on defense would do well to take Monk.

I don't like Wilbon either but I hate guys who act like they aren't fans . Wilbon rooting for Chi town teams is the only thing palatable about him. Be a fan and be open about it . You can do your job as a sports reporter and still be a fan.

Some people seem to have a lot of issues and hate, and just want to spew on the board, and feel that degrading that show and others, and other teams, and coaches, and schools, etc) is a smart thing.
Some must feel good about arguing and or dissing as many folks as they can, and it just make them feel good.
Some watch the show for what it is, two guys doing a television show, talking about some current topics, and not getting very deep into nothing of much merit.
Watch it or don't, we don't care.

For me, they say some stuff I agree with, sometimes inform, and sometimes I just shake my head, and really disagree with them.....just like with my wife, my friends, my family and everyone on here.

Well I have to agree with him, as far as pure one on one talent he blows Ball away. About the only thing Ball does better is find the open man. Fox is a better shooter form wise so I think his outside shoot will improve with time, he is a better at getting to the hole. Ball does not impress me, could be wrong but only time will tell.

JR was a hell of a defender on the perimeter last year for the Cavs. Monk will have to improve in that area. No reason why he can't, and I believe he will

There are lot of us and the list is growing. No ESPN unless UK is playing and when they are I mute the sound and either listen to Tom or just keep it quite.

I watch PTI every day, but I do agree that Wilbon plays the race card way too much - and he protects his pals he runs around with - Magic Johnson, Jalen Rose, Charles Barkley, etc., as well as whoever he happens to be enjoying a game suite with so the positions he takes are often clouded by his network of friends.

I won't say to much about race because that becomes a lighting rod topic on a board like this but suffice to say when Wilbon plays a game like Toss Up or Oddsmakers, if there is a racial component , Wilbon is very predictable. That said, neither are interested in taking a political stand or straying much from sports (take the hint KSR) which is why I still watch it daily (I dvr it)

All that said, to the original post, I do agree that Fox has more upside than Monk. Also I think Lonzo Ball has a funky looking shot that isn't going to translate well to the NBA.

Much like the Higgins debacle, it was a case of a few idiots coloring an entire fanbase. That's not exactly new here concerning other disliked fanbases. And, btw, always hated the "it's others impersonating our fans" bit......very weak.

I love the show. People here bash it and ESPN as they think they hate us, but I just laugh as it's freaking entertainment, nothing more and one guy there always takes one side and one guy the other, intentionally.

Be honest, i don't know, it bothers me on a lot of the play call Cal has done over the yrs that gets on my nerve in the big game again best recruiter out there just not the best x and o coach
