Proud of this team.

Absolutely. Still love this team and they'll hold a special place being Pope's first team and achieving what they did under all the circumstances.
We should all look back in a week or two and I would bet those upset tonight will have more forgiving attitudes. It's human nature, I suppose. I am looking forward to seeing what Pope can do with a serious upgrade in talent.

Loved the big wins over DOOK, Gonzaga and Louisville in the non-conference. It was a successful first year going to the Sweet 16 and constantly dealing with adversity from the injuries.

I look at this team as a foundation builder. We didn't win anything of significance but is a building block for the future.

We were preseason No. 23., so a projected 6 seed. We will finish in the top 16 and earned a 3 seed.

We had 9 top 15 wins with a roster built in a month, while only playing 7 early games completely healthy. We reached the second weekend for the first time in 6 years.

I hate how it ended tonight. But I won't let it take away from the joy I got out of watching these guys play for UK instead of their draft position.

I am now looking forward to portal season and then the long summer until the "practice reports" start flowing in. (Matt Pilgrim is a beast and Carrier doesn't miss.)

Hard not to be proud of these guys! We had some great wins and some bad losses. More injuries than most teams can endure. It really hurt not having Jaxson for this tournament!

Really first season I was emotionally invested since Wisconsin.

Thanks Coach.
I would call this crew the Sunrise boys....felt like I was coming out if a tunnel.
