Props to Collin Chandler

He is FINALLY playing with confidence!!!

The kid has ALL of the skills to be a great player, he just needed time to knock the rust off after sitting out for 2 years. We REALLY need him to keep playing the way he has these last 2 games for the next 2 weeks. if this kid keeps progressing during the off-season, he will play a VITAL role next season.

It would SHOCK me to see him transfer, even back to BYU.

He’s playing great. Huge boost for us. Props to all our freshmen. That run in the first half had a combination of either Noah/Perry or Chandler/Noah with 3 of the older guys. Was huge in a game where we were struggling to get momentum. It set the pace for the rest of the game.

Several posters here made the astute observation that Chandler simply needed to work off that 2 years rust, and as the season progressed, with the injuries, he got his opportunity. He's made the best of it, and we're all very proud and happy for him, to step up and help lead us into March.

We're a better team because of what all we have had adversity -wise this year to deal with.

I really like how this has all setup , the sec tournament and the potential of the NCAA. we're still in range of a 2 seed, if we win this sec tournament, which would be a true shocker....

Just watched the game. He played much better defense and he is more confident. His handles are still off but he is getting better. He can be a guy that puts us over the top come NCAA time. If when Kobe or Otega gets tired or in foul trouble he can come in and be solid. Butler is looking more and more like his old self on his drives. Carr looked great. If we can get 8 to 10 points out of Chandler, Noah and Perry and solid defense, no ugly turnovers and such, we will be solid through the post season and if the guys that can stay will stay it will be a big lift for them going into 2025-26.

Noah’s three when we were down 11-5 started the 10-0 run and momentum.

We’ve all seen what kind of athletic ability he has. He won the damn dunk contest at BBM by jumping over Coach Pope and his wife. So he is capable of bigger things. He just needs time like all the freshman.

He is a basketball savvy player and a good athlete. Has the outside jumper and can penetrate and take it to the big men on a drive with good court awareness. Like most freshmen, he needs to work on his strength but his confidence going into next season should be good. IMO, a big contributor next season. A more athletic John Pelphrey!

Rewatching the second half, and these last several games. You can tell he’s really busted his ass and put in the work. It’s going to be fun to see him continue to emerge/improve as a threat with Robinson out. Hope he sticks around after this season..
In Chandler's last 2 games combined. 33 minutes played, 19 points & 5 assists. I now have 100% total confidence in him when I see him coming in the game.

About 2 weeks ago there were people on here saying they hope he transfers and stuff.

It was obvious he just needed time. I think people forget that he was away from basketball for 2 years. He probably had a ton of rust to shake off.
