Continuing with the broader college football discussion theme, who are your top five programs "on the rise" over the next five years --- excluding Kentucky (we want some objectivity here).
1. Arkansas -- SEC West makes it tough, but they are countercultural a bit. With the spread growing, their brand of power football is even tougher to prepare for. They are always going to have a massive line and a devastating run game.
2. Michigan -- Lot of room to improve and they will be improving a lot.
3. Penn State -- Franklin's recruiting very well and they too have room to improve.
4. NC State -- Unconventional choice here but they improved a ton at the end of Dave Doeren's second year and snagged three four-star running backs late in the '15 class.
5. Texas -- Maybe not this year but I think Charlie Strong's going to have them a physically tough, stout team in the years ahead. I'm a believer.
