I don't know that we will be getting as good of shots against better competition, but 75% free throws as a team is another sign that we may be a decent shooting team. Livingston, who I really like, appears to be a good 3-point shooter, and a horrible free throw shooter. What's up with that?

I like the way our defense has looked, and that will win you a lot of games. But also hard to tell based on the competition. We should be the best rebounding team in the country when Oscar plays.

FT% may go up too. Lance Ware is about to see a huge reduction in minutes and will hopefully attempt as many free throws during the regular season (12) as he has in the preseason.

Thanks for getting this up. One thing that stands out to me other than the things already mentioned is only 4 FT from Wallace. That really surprises me. Man the shooting during this preseason even looks better on "paper".

CJ is just a baller, an actual basketball player. Love what he brings to the table. He’s not even fully “back” yet either. He’s getting there, though. Outside of Oscar, he’s our most important player IMHO.
He and Wallace aswell. Those 2 guards are going to be trouble for a lot of folks

Have a feeling Cal will make sure Wallace knows he has to draw more fouls.😉

I’m not so sure I wouldn’t just start the Seniors if I’m Cal, especially if he feels compelled to start Wheeler. Fredrick and Reeves at the wings would really complement Wheeler better than any other options and it’s clear that Toppin and Tshiebwe will start.

Wheeler
Fredrick
Reeves
Toppin
Tshiebwe

If Wheeler has to start, then put guys in there that can knock down shots when he drives, draws, and dishes.

Wallace still gets starter minutes, though, as the sixth man.

Kinda what I've been thinking all along. Reward the seniors with the start, but play whoever is working against our opponent the most minutes.
