Hypothetically let’s say we add Chaz Lanier and Ansley Almonor to finish out the roster. That would average out to be 112.1 points between 9 guys on the roster next year. Not counting the additions of Travis Perry, Trent Noah, and Collin Chandler. Would that be good for tops in the nation for returning scoring?

If Perry, Noah and Chandler can only account for another five points -- 117.1 should win a lot of games. Even last year's Kentucky team won most of their 110-point plus games.
And assuming the players are all a year older, I think we can CONSERVATIVELY bump it another five points. So, 122 roughly as an average? It does work that way, right?

Not sure if the numbers can be applied like that. You need to factor in the avg. minutes played per player and know whether or not we have enough minutes to give each one the same amount to get the same production.
I would guess that somewhere around 100 is good enough for tops in the country. We were there last year for a short while and I think that was around what we were averaging.

I don't see anyone on this team player more than 28 MPG this season. It wouldn't surprise me to see big shifts in minutes depending on the opponents. The better offensive the team we play is, the better defensive players will see more playing time, and vice versa.
Against a good offensive team, we might see more of Butler and Oweh at the 1 and 2, and against better defensive teams, Lanier, Brea, and Kriisa on the floor together.

Original post wasn’t made to project scoring for the upcoming season. Maybe I should have worded it as incoming scoring instead of returning scoring. I was just curious where we would rank nationally in scoring incoming compared to other teams.
It's basically the same thing, though. You can't read too much into what they've scored before now that they have a new coach with a new system and all new team mates.
It'll be interesting how this plays out. You won't be able to play all of those players. Team chemistry would severely suffer. Some will flourish and some will flop. Hopefully more flourish than flop.
