Thought this Boston team did some things that will prove to be valuable in terms of experience down the road. They make a killing at the three-point line and UK did as good a job of defending the three against them as anyone else has.

Tyler Ulis played another very good game. Thought he picked his spots well and really did a good job of attacking the rim. Also impressed with Briscoe, once again, and his instinctive ability to pick his speeds. That, coupled with his strength, makes him so difficult to stop when he wants to get inside.

Alex Poythress' second straight double-double is very good news. He's on or even ahead of schedule and played with great tenacity. 7-8 from the field for AP and he gave the team a lift every time Boston was within striking distance.

Marcus Lee was also more active on the offensive end than the last game. Only 4-4 and didn't really do a ton on the low block but a very efficient performance.

It was actually one of Murray's more efficient offensive performances. Thought he didn't try to force it quite as much as he has other times this year. Skal did attempt 13 field goals but I thought he did a pretty good job of picking his spots, too. He came right out of the gate looking to score. Getting good position low just doesn't come easy for him.

13-26 from the free throw line isn't going to cut it especially when you're shooting horribly from three-point range as this Kentucky team is. Calipari wants the guards to drive but they still attempted 15 threes. Only five games in but I think it's fair to openly wonder whether long-range shooting is going to be a significant problem for the Cats down the road. Calipari loves his three-guard lineup and I just can't see him giving Willis a ton of minutes to stretch the 'D' as the season goes on. He got nine minutes tonight and was 1-6, so the past couple of games he hasn't helped his cause.

Kentucky finished +18 on the boards which is what they should have been against this opponent.

58 points in the paint -- wow. Impressive.
