KENTUCKY HC MARK POPE Q&A:
* Great win. Fun game. Kinda get sad thinking there are only 17 more of these to play this season.
* Andrew Carr gives people so many problems because you have to set your defensive lineup a certain way when he's on the floor.
* A couple of big runs in the game. The first one doesn't happen without Otega Oweh.
* Very humbling to watch these guys grow as the season moves along.
* Says it's killing Kerr Kriisa to not be playing right now. The guys have gone over to visit him and pick up his spirits whenever they can. Indicative of the balance and unselfishness they have.
* Otega Oweh has a competitive spirit that burns deep. Does some things that I just have to let slide and say, "That's Otega being Otega."
* On Brea explosion off the bench... 7/9 off the bench. Wow. We do a lot of things to create shots for him, but he created some for himself off the bounce today. He was magical tonight. Hard to make an argument against him being the best shooter in the country.
* Feels so good that the players are experiencing what this place is like when you're playing games like this. BBN was ridiculous. How fun was it to be in that gym?
* On what they learned today... Have to get a lot more physical, that it's going to be a life-and-death situation on the boards every night. Have to adjust a few things defensively. But the main thing is how fun this is. We only get 17 more of these (SEC games). Can't waste any of them.
* Points out that Florida is the 2nd best rebounding team in the country, so they're going to do that to a lot of people. Key was we hung in there. And only had 6 turnovers against No. 1 halfcourt defense team in the country.
* These guys love the big-time games. You can tell. Still learning them, but the opportunity to compete is big. Our guys are falling in love with it.
* Really pleased with getting 29 3s up today. Concedes that you're not going to get 14 of them to drop very often, but excited about finding more of them.
* Thrilled with his bigs. Carr, Williams, Garrison had 13 assists and only two turnovers today.

* We didn't do a good job of defending the 3 or the paint. Adds that, if the Gators see the Cats again in SEC tourney, we have to find a way to take away the rim 2s and get on their catch-and-shoot guys.
* We didn't defend anywhere near good enough to come into Rupp and win one. We thought we'd be in good shape if we did a good job on Robinson and Brea.
* Give UK credit. Every time we got it close again, they came up with a big shot.
* UK won't lose too many games if they play with this level of efficiency. Depth and balance are really impressive.
