- Oweh opened the scoring with a pair of free throws and Travis Perry hit a 3-pointer to make it 40-32 and Texas A&M called timeout at 18:07.
- Robinson hit a 3-pointer, completing a 13-0 run that spanned the halves.
- Kentucky took the advantage to 13 points at 56-43.
- Texas A&M closed within 59-53 but free throws by Williams and a baseline jumper by Robinson quelled the advance.
- From there, Texas A&M got no closer than eight and Kentucky stretched the lead to as many as 14 points.
