I'm honestly just a little shocked by all of this. And I don't mean shocked by what happened or who was involved, just shocked at how fast this all transpired. You know the situation has to be dire for the University of Louisville to fire a coach over a scandal just a day after the story breaks.

No sympathy at all for RP and TJ. This is long overdue. RP should've been gone years ago. I remember the Eddie Sutton days and how bad it was for the fans, so I do feel sorry for the fans plus the players that had nothing to do with this mess.

I feel for the thousands of Louisville fans who don't really keep up with the inside stuff on their team but just show up for games and cheer them on. They've followed the team all their lives, through thick and thin. They have my sympathy today.

But I have ZERO sympathy for Rick Pitino or Tom Jurich nor any of the L1C4 internet warriors who have turned a blind eye to all the corruption that has obviously been going on with this program for years. Those folks helped empower Rick and Tommy to become what they had become. This didn't happen overnight.

I don't like Rick Pitino, Tom Jurich or anything to do with the University of Louisville. I pull for them to lose every game. I hope the 2013 National Championship is voided and the banner comes down. I'm pleased Jurich and Pitino are no longer at Louisville. I don't want Louisville to succeed in anything. I say this because Jurich and Pitino were very successful. They were a threat to the success of the team I love, the University of Kentucky.

Having expressed all of the above, I am by no means giddy to see Pitino vilified any further. He is gone. So be it. I will now turn my attention to hoping the next Louisville coach has no success. I didn't like it one bit that Pitino opted to coach Louisville among all the other coaching opportunities that would eventually be available for him after he left the Celtics. However, he also rescued the UK basketball program from the same shame Louisville is now experiencing. UK fans should always be grateful for what Rick Pitino did for UK.

While I am pleased Pitino is no longer at Louisville, I do not wish him any ill will. On the contrary, I hope he can put this controversy behind him and enjoy the rest of his life.

My feelings are that this is all crazy....but that I cant quite understand why so many of UK fans go so crazy insane of Pitino and UofL...they dont/never have really mattered.

I feel bad for my state. Kentucky has to foot the bill for the Yum center and the only regular attraction just destroyed itself. The sweetheart deal they got was criminal but I think that load stone just got heavier on the state. There should be prison sentences.
Sometimes forest fires are beneficial.
