* Big-time win for the Cats over the Vols … and the way we won it and who we won it with … impressive. The Cats led most of the game, when the Vols got the lead, but the Cats showed good fight to finish the Cols the last 5 minutes.
* Cats a massive +27 (12-24) from the 3pt line over the Vols (3-18). The game played out a lot like the game in Knoxville, albeit with a little different cast of contributors. Cats -7 on the glass, but only 8 TOs to 9 for the Vols. Better ball security. The FT line got closer when the Vols had to foul at the end … it was otherwise a big deficit during the game.
* Cats won the end of both halves … that was huge. It got us a lead and then it won the game. That effort and resilience with who we had playing was encouraging.
* Cats with 26 points off the bench …led by 11 for Noah and 8 by Perry who combined to go 5-7 from the 3pt line. Their best games thus far.
* Injuries have been the story for the Cats this year. We somehow overcame that tonight, without Robinson the entire game and without Butler the final 8:40. Butler is clearly a difference maker for this team … we desperately need him healthy, along with Robinson. We need Carr to find his form as well. This team fully healthy is a dangerous team.
* Up Next: Cats travel to take on a good Texas team on Saturday night. It will be difficult for the Cats to get a road win against the Horns who may be coming off a 3-game losing streak if they lose to Bama tonight. Every game in the SEC is a war.
